I have Casio Megavision LCD 2way projector FV-600 that my parents found in the garage (just the projector, no cables, instructions).
It has a cable coming out of its butt that goes into the wall (a plug), and three holes that say "ear" and "input"
What do I need to watch movies on my wall? A DVD player? Can I connect it to my computer? Do I need to buy any cables? If so which ones? Can I get everything I need with amazon prime?
Obviously, please explain it like I'm a three year old.

I've been put in charge of a photo booth setup at an upcoming party, and I need some advice. We would like for people to be able to take pictures in front of a backdrop for most of the night, photo booth style with funny hats/props, and then have an "instant slide show" at the end of the party of all the pics. Talk me through the hardware setup I need to make this happen, please! I've got a canon DSLR, a laptop (both Mac and PC available) various USB cables, and a projector.

I received this handheld 3M mini projector
as a gift, and while it's practical uses are minimal, I'm looking to the twisted hivemind for ideas on what I could do to utilize this to freak people out, do guerrilla marketing, or anything else for fun. FYI: it works well with an iPod touch to stream video to it. [more inside]

Is it possible to use a projector to project an image onto a wall that will span the entire wall, that is, do all / any projectors allow to stretch an image to arbitrary angle since the size of the room is limited?
I would like to sketch an image onto an entire wall using this method.
I don't think there is any way to actually print an image onto a wall using some kind of a setup with an inkjet head moving up and down along the wall... were there any experimental rigs that can do that?

I'm getting a projector for gaming (and occasionally movies). It's across a living room, about 15 feet, to go on a wall. I've previously used just a boring office projector and that worked fine. I'm not super concerned about image quality; it needs to be good enough to read text on the "screen", but that's about it. Can I get away with an LED projector? [more inside]

I just bought an Optoma Pico PK301 to use in our (Mac-based) office and also when we travel. Unfortunately I didn't realize that it won't work like a normal projector - i.e. just letting me project what is on my screen. Can I hack it or should I return it and get a different one? [more inside]

Looking for recommendations for an inexpensive projector for watching movies on an outdoor wall.
Hoping to spend no more than $300 (used projector would be fine) - to watch movies on my roof against a stucco wall. There are a ton of used projectors on eBay but I need a little guidance on what to look for, as I have no clue.
Just need a basic unit that will project a decent picture from about 10-15 feet away. Built-in speakers would be nice but not necessary.

I'm planning to buy a new video projector, and thought that while I'm at it I should buy a 3D-ready projector so that in a couple of years when there are more 3D movies available, I'll be ready to watch them. Ultimately I think I'll end up getting a new PC with Blu-Ray and probably an NVidia card to play 3D Blu-Rays, as per this AskMeFi thread
. But do I need to get a 3D-ready projector with HDMI, like this Acer P1200
? Or does HDMI not matter? I don't want to end up buying a projector only to find I can't plug it in to the right source a year down the line.
