Hello MeFi peoples, I am trying to find the tool or tools to run my sustainable business consulting practice, which I started in August, and I've been going a bit nuts with too many choices. I've been looking all over, and am getting near hits, but all "not quite there"s. Highrise sort of works, but has some quirks that that it doesn't hit the mark, and it's missing some of what I want to do. Daylite looks interesting, but no...well I'll explain below. Basecamp, same thing. Copper, ditto. Help me find the needle(s) in the haystack! [more inside]

I'm using MS Outlook at work as a Project Manager in Technology (I don't have a choice on that). Are there some good tricks you've come across to manage communications, status of tasks, categories, or just some way of keeping track of the bazillion pieces that actually works? Bonus if your work involves the large software company on the east side (Microsoft). [more inside]
