How should I approach companies once I have a product sample/proposal?

I came up a product idea and made a sample/prototype but I have no idea how to go next. I know my target store customers but how to I get in touch with them. Is it appropriate to call them (customer service) up and ask who I should talk to? If I do get buyer's contact info, should I contact multiple buyers that are in the same company? Please let me know what you think, thanks!

Statute of limitations is up on a medical product-liability lawsuit?

Hi all, When I was 10, I took stomach drug called Propulcid, which gave me permanent Epilepsy. I am now 26 and want to sue the makers, but the statute of limitations in Maryland ended at age 21 (I'm 26 now). I want to sue, but given these limitations, no contingency-based lawyer will take my case. What can I do? Thanks!

meta stories are meta

I really love works of fiction that use the style, setup, or form of another media product as a means of storytelling and sometimes subversion. For example: TEDxSummerisle (complete with tweets and botched livestream) and The Theory of Narrative Causality, written primarily in the form of Livejournal posts by the Sherlock Homes fandom (inc comments and bits of fanfic) as well as GChats, TVTropes, and related media. What other similar works are out there? [more inside]

Best Source for Book Descriptions?

I'm currently working on a research project that will lead to a written product (an article or report, either published in a magazine/journal, or released online). I want to create an appendix to the report that has the names and descriptions for books referenced in the report. This will be an extensive list, so I don't want to create the descriptions myself. Can I use the product description that is put out by the publisher (the one that is used by Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other book sellers)? If not, what are my options?

Product design paradigm shifts

Sometimes a new product comes about that has such a unique and superior design, that it completes changes the way we think about that given product. I am looking for examples of new products that have brought about a significant change in the paradigm of what we though the product could be, and would later become the new standard of how that product would be designed. I'd Rather Not End Up with a Bald Spot

Help! I have a knot in my hair, and I can't get it out. I think there is some gunk in there, but I'm not sure what it is. I've tried mushing some peanut butter in, but that didn't really work (after washing the peanut butter out, it was still there, but perhaps I didn't use the pb correctly?). Is there some other remedy I can try before cutting a chunk of my hair off? It's in the back and on the top, so it would look a little weird to cut it. [more inside]
