I am looking for a 2D animation toolkit that helps me animate various actors, like man, woman, cat and helps in realising various actions like sleeping, running, etc. with programmatical ease. I have looked into processing.org and started to toy with simple geometric shapes, but yet to stumble across an animation with man/woman actors. Could you help me find some good resources where I could learn to animate such things? TIA.

I need to go through text files, each containing hundreds of lines, and copy a specific part of each line, and then add all those parts together into one long line, each part separated by a comma. But how?

Looking for reading list suggestions and search terms for fuzzy concept matching: given a list of topics, some of which might be defined by synonyms, how do you match to more exact concepts? I'm guessing that this is a natural language processing (NLP) or semantic web question but I might be wrong.

PHPfilter: in a bit over my head: is there a native function to sort an array by a word which isn't always in a fixed position, or do I need to create one? (And if I need to create one, is this the best way to do it?)

I have an audio recording of children playing. I want to take data from that recording (frequency? volume? something else?) and use those numbers to generate some sort of visual output.

Jared Tarbell generously offers the source code to
Binary Ring (click on "Thumbnail gallery" – "Binary Ring" – "Launch applet"). I’d like to modify this code to make larger images of the same type but I’m not getting anywhere. How do I do this? I’m a
beginner idiot.
