I have Brainwavz M3 in-ear monitors and, before sending them out to be fixed, I want to know if the problem probably resides in the earbuds themselves or in the audio jack. See Extended explanation... Thank you. [more inside]

We started having trouble with our car almost a year ago. We paid $1500 for a repair that failed, and the mechanic tried twice more without additional charges. Now, it’s failed again, but the mechanic had heart surgery and closed down the shop, and I haven’t been able to reach him. Is there anything left to do, or do we just have to accept that we’re out the money without a fix, and start over with someone new? [more inside]

For about a month I have been getting this annoying message "Unable to Access Network" when trying to open random webpages in Chrome. The drop down message also has two buttons: "Reload" and "More". If I hit "reload", 8 times out of 10 the webpage opens immediately. But sometimes I can't get in with repeated tries. This only happens in Chrome. If get locked out of a page in Chrome, I can open it in Explorer. I tried to fix this by disabling my extensions and my Firewall (Norton Security Suite). That didn't work. Again, it is happening to random webpages at random times. It has become very frustrating and I feel I have no choice but to just dump Chrome. Any ideas?

I have developed problem feet; bunions, a chipped bone and arthritis. I tried Alegrias and woohoo, they don't hurt!! Nice styles, pretty colors, but they are just a bit...chunky. Know what I mean? I know about Dansko, Keen and Merrell, but are there other brands that combine exceptional comfort with good looks? I want a feminine effect. I like sporty, athletic, fun, colorful, girly shoes. Low heels. I am a lady, 55, petite, active and on my feet more often than off, during my work day. I have an eclectic, thrift store wardrobe, heavy on blacks, and neutrals, with colorful
accent pieces. I tend toward "costumes" rather than outfits, if that gives you a sense of my style. I want pretty feet that don't hurt!

Four years ago I set up what should have been a phone/broadband package with BT. I have contemporaneous notes of the phone conversation to do this. It has only recently come to light that BT actually set up two separate accounts. Because I opted for online billing, I only saw details of one account when I checked payments. I knew another payment was going out of my account, but I thought it was line rental. I know that I should have made absolutely sure exactly what all the payments were for, but the bills and the details on my bank statements do not make that easy and I had no reason whatsoever to suspect that all was not in order. I am certainly out of pocket, although it is difficult for me to work out by how much. I have followed BT's complaints procedure and have been offered £65 as a final offer. I don't think this is enough, but wonder whether I have a strong enough case to make taking the matter to the ombudsman worthwhile. I would really appreciate advice on this. Thank you.

I'm interested in dating and otherwise be-friend a guy. We have common interests and he seems to be "nice" and has a high level of intelligence.
That said - Every conversation revolves around him. I love to ask people questions and let them "talk freely about their life or whatever"... but at some point you want to have a two-sided conversation.
How can I politely make this point without coming across in the wrong way? This is not someone I have known longer then a couple dates.

Recently I've been listening to some very interesting podcasts on the mind-body problem
and I've been caught up in the various different approaches that one can take to the problem. I was really excited until, upon further reflection, it seemed to me that most of what we use to attack this problem in America (analytic philosophy) is basically just word games, logic puzzles and thought experiments, with no real basis in reality. I used tetracycline for a year and a half for acne. I had no negative side effects.
On April 14th I started to have abdomen pain, loose stools, diahrea, gas, and stomach gurgling.
On April 18th I went to a walk in clinic and they told me that I should stop taking the tetracycline because I've been on it for too long and it can negatively effect my gut flora.
I had a stool sample, blood test and ultrasound done and they all came back negative.
I went to my family doctor April 29th and he said that I am suffering from IBS and said to take a PPI and a anti-depressant. He also said it was unlikely that the tetracycline could cause my stomach problems. I took the PPI and it didn't help. I do not want to take the anti-depressant.
I visited my dermatologist this week and he said I should continue taking the tetracycline and that stomach problems can be related to stress.
My stomach is still bothering me and I have diahrea in the early morning and I'm taking imodium to stop that.
I am visiting my girlfriend in Europe in 2 weeks and I hope my stomach problems don't negatively effect my trip.
Does anyone know if using Antibiotics could cause stomach issues like this.
I am upset at myself for taking the Tetracycline for so long. But my dermatologist told me it was safe.
I hope this will pass and not be a lifelong syndrome.

I'll try to make this short. I am at my breaking point. My girlfriend of a year and a half or so is definitely bipolar, I would say without a doubt that it could be severe. I wasn't sure for some time, but now I am certain, after simply looking at the symptoms I can tell she has some sort of bipolar disorder -- even down to being falsely diagnosed with depression I think (maybe she was depressed too, but this is besides the point). I dropped off my computer to be repaired because it kept powering off randomly, and often before windows could even start booting. They told me it was a faulty power supply, which they replaced.
I received a call about fifteen minutes after I got home from a tech there telling me that they forgot to plug my DVD drive into the power supply, and that I can bring it back and have them fix it.
When I ran it at home, I noticed google chrome was missing. Another one of my programs doesn't work now, telling me that "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable." 3-4 other programs that I've picked at random and tried to run work fine.

Is there a somewhat simple solution to this problem? We recently installed new wireless Internet at home but my laptop (older Toshiba Satellite) refuses to connect to the net. It will automatically find our network and connect to it, but doesn't go that step further to actually connect to the Internet. This only happens with the wireless at home - it works fine with other networks I've tried out. Is my computer just not recognizing the new modem?

So I've had this problem since I built my computer a few months ago, it is completely sporadic and seemingly random. Sometimes my computer won't freeze for days, other times shortly after start up.
When it freezes everything stops, the keyboard and mouse are unresponsive (no Ctrl-alt-del etc.) and if sound is playing there is a sort of "glitch" then silence. I don't know yet whether this is hardware related or software related.
The other problem (separate then the freezing) I've been having on startup:
I can't use it normally at all, because when I start a program like firefox or anything it else it freezes and I have to hard restart every time, or I have to wait 30 minutes and then firefox or other programs will start. Or the other issue arises where no programs will start and I'm forced to hard restart again. I can only run it working in safemode with networking, which prevents me from doing what I built it for, gaming and videos etc. Running chkdsk /r fixes this problem, but it sometimes returns. This is a secondary problem unrelated to the first. [more inside]
