Facebook Privacy!

Facebook Privacy: Is there a way to create a list of people who are able to view your profile (and all the activity on your timeline/wall contributed by others) but without the ability to see photos you are tagged in? So that the only photos they can see are the ones you have previously assigned as a profile photo. [more inside]

Prospective Employer Asking for Social Security # - my rights & protections

I've been approached by a firm about a position they need to fill. Staff is enthusiastic and after several conversations, I received an e-mail from their HR head asking to fill out an application form. How are credit reporting agencies such superb snoops?

How do credit reporting agencies know so much about me? I applied for a credit history (not report) with Equifax, and along with the actual credit history, they know (almost) all of my recent employers and all of my mailing addresses. I must have signed away my privacy rights to them at some point, so how do I make sure they don't get their grubby hands on all of this very PRIVATE data in the future? I live in Canada which I believe makes a difference as far as privacy rights go (we supposedly have some privacy rights...)

I want to change a rule governing my condos management.

Condominium Outrage! Today, while taking a shower in my bathroom, i suddenly saw a reflection of a man in the vanity mirror - he was just outside the slightly open bathroom door. I screamed bloody murder while my heart beat out of my chest - i thought i was about to be the victim of a home invasion. Now, i want to do something about the apparent rule/bylaw/custom in my condo corporation/board that allows workers to enter the unit without the express permission of the owner or resident. Filming on mass transit in Toronto, Canada. Legal?

Filming on mass transit in Toronto, Canada. Legal? ... A friend of a friend of mine was on a Toronto streetcar when a fellow passenger complained about the delay to the driver. The driver threw a fit and decided the passenger had to leave or she wouldn't drive on. The passenger refused. The driver called an inspector. The inspector sided with the driver (of course). My friend captured this on her cell phone video. When the inspector sees the camera (which was in clear view the entire time) he walks over and smashes the camera out of her hand (he didn't ask her to turn it off first). My friend wants to post the video but is unaware if filming on the transit system in the city is illegal as faces are clearly visible. I saw the video and was shocked and want it spread wide. Legally, what's the situation? [more inside]

Facebook profile ripping?

A third-party website has created a "profile" for me on their own site, using my main Facebeook picture, which turns up on the first page of Google hits for my full name. It seems to be some kind of cheesy dating site and I really don't want it up there. I've never used the site, or interacted with it in any way (I don't use any FB apps at all, and am savvy enough not to click on spammy links). Do I have any recourse for getting this taken down?

WTF, Facebook? Question about privacy.

All of a sudden, I can see comments that my friends post on the status or links of people who aren't my friends. And vice-versa. So, if I post a comment on Joe's status update or link, Sally can see my comment and Joe's status/link even though Sally and Joe are not friends. This seems to be new, and is a bug, not a feature. Any way to control this on my end? [more inside]
