I'm looking for a print/copy shop, preferably downtown Boston, but will travel to nearby areas by T, that can do small batches (12-25) of full-color brochures that need to be folded a particular way. Apparently quite a few print shops don't do small runs, or don't do folding. Our current vendor, who I will politely not name, has left us unsatisfied on a few occasions (color not great, messed up the folding job, requiring us to refold them all). Already tried ProPriint, and their quote was fairly expensive (~1300$ for 25 ) Ideally we'd be looking at half that amount. I'm hoping someone can provide a "I've used VENDORX and they were AWESOME" kind of testimonial.
MobilePrintingFilter - I needed a diminutive printer, and only the HP Officejet 100 fit the bill. I've got it working fine from my Macbook via direct USB, via Bluetooth, and, having USB-connected it to the same Airport Extreme base station that delivers my internet connection, via Bonjour. Now all I'm missing is... printig to it from my iPad. [more inside]

I'm having business cards made, and I want them in a mini size (like 70mm X 28mm). But I can't seem to find a union print shop online that does cards with smaller dimensions like that. (Obvs I want a union bug). Thanks, hive-folk!
I've been hired by a client to design a (relatively) simple brochure for her. She'd like it to be bilingual (English/French) and, due to this, would ideally like all the content in one language to be on one side of the 8.5"x11" page, so it's easier to read when completely unfolded. It's like a reverse Z-fold... [more inside]
I'm trying to create a book of tweets. I've screencapped images of tweets as both jpegs and pngs, and uploaded them to four different "make a book" sites (Picaboo, Mixbook, Snapfish, and Shutterfly) and each time, the site warns me that the image is too low-quality to print well. The image preview does not look good. [more inside]

My wife is in Paris attending a conference, and just realized that she didn't bring her business cards along! I know that freestanding machines exist to make these while-you-wait in other cities, but where can one go to get same-day business cards in Paris? Difficulty: some, but limited, French language ability.

I have a Macbook with OS X 10.5.8 and Firefox 13.0.1. The printing scale under File -> Page Setup in Firefox has randomly started defaulting to 60%. So every time I restart Firefox, I have to go in there and change it back to 100% before I print anything. I can't figure out how to change it back. Is this a Firefox thing, or a printer thing? [more inside]
Recently when I print with Firefox, it tries to squeeze everything into 1 page. The text is TINY. I have tried "Print 100%", Scale to Fit, Print regular in preferences (HP Laserjet 4200). I have tried to print with different drivers. Nothing I do save "Print 200+%" works, and that's absolutely absurd to have to do each time. Chrome prints things fine, but I really don't want to have to use a different browser each time... Anybody have an idea? Any info I seem to find on the web comes up with old FF2 and FF3 printing issues. Nothing with a more current version on the mozilla forums.
We have a laserjet 4250 at work. I'm running into an issue with it printing one specific PDF very slowly (i.e. prints a page. pauses for half a second, prints the next, pause...) Normally it spits them out very rapidly. [more inside]
I am a procrastinator and now I am up against a gift-giving deadline (Saturday!) with no time for shipping. For reasons I won't get into here, its really important that I can include custom stickers (small squarish ones like 2x2 or label size; dimensions are not so important). I thought it would be easy to have them made at Walmart or a drugstore but it looks like those places will only ship them to you, not print them in the store. If I have to, I can buy sticker paper and print them myself but the quality of my home printer is not great. Are there any obvious choices I am overlooking?

Identify Japanese woodblock print of kabuki actor, possibly by Kunichika, possibly set on Tokaido Road
Need help identifying this Japanese woodblock print of a kabuki actor. I think the artist is Kunichika, and the print is set somewhere on the Tôkaidô Road. At the top of the page is a large box of Japanese text -- I'm hoping someone can read this, or otherwise identify any hints about the location, actor and character.
