I need to buy a new printer for work. It must: (1) print high quality posters up to 11 x 17 inches. (2) cost < $500. [more inside]
My fiancee and I are trying to keep wedding costs down and are entertaining the idea of printing some of the paper items necessary ourselves (rehearsal dinner invite, wedding invitation insert, ceremony program, etc.). Is there a consumer printer that costs under $150 that could do a pretty good job with these things? Looking at Amazon is kind of overwhelming with the various makes and models, and since I haven't bought a printer in many years I'm not sure what to trust. [more inside]
It is, sadly, time to retire our dinosaur LJ4 and get a new printer. Our primary concern for the new printer is cost over the total life of the printer. We print quite a bit for home users, I'd guess about 200 pages a month. Low cost per page is important. Probably this means a black and white laser printer, but not sure. [more inside]
I'm looking for an affordable home-sized A3+ printer that prints faint colours especially greys well and is relatively fast and not too expensive to run. [more inside]

Greetings: Does anyone know a quick work-around for installing an HP Laserjet 1012 printer on a new Dell running on Windows 7 Professional? I have the original set up disk for the printer, but that doesn't work (and I don't get an explanatory error message). HP's website says that it is not supplying a driver for this printer for Windows 7. I am guessing that there is a work-around for this, and that someone out on the green might know what this is. I'd be grateful! Thanks!
I'd like to use my computer to generate output that looks like it was typewritten, not like it's a photocopy of something typewritten, i.e., with some form of mechanical impact printing. What's the cheapest way to do this? [more inside]
I tried this last week but got no response, so I'm going to ask again in a somewhat more general way. I'm looking for a good photo printer that is reliable, takes lots of different paper sizes, doesn't cost a ton, and is relatively cheap to run. [more inside]

Please help me choose a new printer for my Mac-based home office. My current printer is a Brother DCP 7020 black and white laser printer I got in, I think, 2005, and it finally seems to be about to go. I need good and fast duplex printing, a decent flatbed scanner, and good/fast photocopying. Should I move to inkjet?? Should I get something with wireless networking?? More specifics within! Seeking NYC print shop recommendations for nearly one-off prints. I have about 20 pieces of different, mostly standard sizes -- nothing larger than 11 x 17 and B4 -- that I'd like to make a very limited number color prints of (1 - 3 each). I have an approximate budget of 10 dollars per print I'd like to hew closely to and a number of quality and care requirements. [more inside]

I'm running a photobooth rental company, and need a new on-site dye-sub printer. I want one with fast prints and high capacity. College student looking to buy a laser printer. I've only needed to print papers in black ink during my past two years of college. But what's this - I can buy a color laser printer for the same price as a regular one? Are there any downsides to a rarely-used color roller?
My wife is looking for a good color printer for crafting projects. We have a cheap-ish inkjet now, but the color quality is disappointing. Decent color fidelity for the occasional photos and the ability to print on thicker papers are important to us, but we're hoping to avoid spending Money Hats(tm). Should I look at color laser printers? Anyone have suggestions on particular printers?
It seems that I have completely run out of black ink, but I have a new color cartridge in my HP All-in-one printer (F2120). I want to print out pdfs of crossword puzzles that I've downloaded from the internet. The pdfs only utilize black ink. I want to print them out in a color (red, green, blue.. I don't care), so that the puzzle and clues all appear in the same (non-black) color. I'm using Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional for Win2k. Is there any easy way to do this? Is it even possible? Have I provided enough info?
As a gift for my husband, I took some saucy pictures. The pictures are nothing by the standards of the internet, but not the type of thing I'd be comfortable sending to Target or Wal-Mart to print out. I want to produce photobooks for sale. I would like to upload them to a printing site where others can go and see them and purchase them without further reference to me. They would deal directly with the printer. But I would like to receive a commission from the printer for each one sold. Does anyone know of a printer of photobooks who would provide this service or of a way I can achieve my objective?

I just need an all-in-one printer that will copy, print and scan. Don't need fax really. This is for home use. I currently have an Epson CX4600, actually it's the 2nd one in 3 years. The first one died before the warranty was up, so they sent me a new one and I sent the old one back. Now this one won't print or copy. I've tried all of the trouble shooting things. Epson says I have to buy a new one. I dont want another Epson.
