I may have accidentally vacuumed up part of my printer...
I was cleaning up around my computer with the vacuum cleaner and I started to vacuum around the printer. My cat likes to sit on top of it so lots of hair tends to get inside. Anyways I stuck the nozzle inside and it sucked up the foam pad that the printer head gets cleaned on.
So here's the two part question:
1. Is it possible to get a replacement foam pad? If not, is it worth cutting up the vacuum bag and retrieving it?
2. How can keep my cat from hanging out on my printer?
My printer is a Canon Pixma 9000 pro mk II.

I need a new all-in-one machine that is PC and Mac compatible, good for networking, can handle faxes with multiple ring, copier, flatbed scanner, multiple cartridges of paper, ink doesn't cost a million dollars, and is really sturdy. I'm willing to spend up to $500 but I want it to be good quality. Personal recommendations?

How can I clear a recalcitrant cartridge jam on an HP C4580 printer? I've gone through the steps on the printer and the further support on the
HP website to no avail. I still have the error message flashing on the printer, and it will not print anything, not even the self-test report. I need a working printer, and this is driving me crazy! Any suggestions? Help?

I'm looking for a home office solution for B&W laser printing, scanning, copying (in approximately that order of importance, with the ability to fax coming in a very distant fourth). I'd like to spend less than $350. Network connectivity nice but not critical. Pony optional. Suggestions? Am I doomed to a choice between an endless string of near-disposable crappy all-in-one desktop models and far-out-of-budget business class maintenance contract solutions?

I'm wondering if this is even possible... my client wants to be able add the ability to select from the list of available printers; a remote fax machine. The original file will be quickbooks invoices. All my searches turn up what seem to be really old 'almost' solutions.

I have a Canon MX320 multifunction copier/printer/scanner/fax. The ink cartridges don't last very long, so I refilled them. But, I can't get it to recognize that the cartridge is now full. Am unable to reset it. Have looked & looked on Google & tried lots of methods. It prints fine, since there is ink, but the problem is since the printer thinks there's no ink, it stores new faxes in memory rather than printing them out. I can retrieve them there, but it's a hassle. So, I'd like to figure out how to reset the machine to tell it that it does have a new cartridge or to over ride the storing new faxes in memory & forcing it to print automatically.

I bought a new computer (stalkers may check out my previous 'asks') running 64 bit windows 7, and I'd like it to connect to my HP 6840 wireless printer; that is, I need an appropriate driver. HP's website says that windows 7, has the driver built in and all I have to do is connect the printer via usb cable and stand back. Well, I tried that and several other things but my Windows 7 home, even after running update, has no driver for my printer (which it correctly identifies). HP tech support is of no help, merely repeating the same advice as the web sites I've already seen. I know such a driver exists because other people have solved this problem. How can I get it?

I have a 4 year old Samsung ML-2510 printer that will no longer print. It takes in a sheet of paper about halfway, then stops for ~20 seconds then spits the page out a blank page. It will keep doing this until it runs out of paper. The red error light is slowly flashing. The problem appeared a couple of years ago, but I've always been able to get it to go away before. It worked fine the first time I used it this semester but stopped working the second time I used it. Since then I've only been able to get it to spit out one non-blank page, and that was involved in a paperjam. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get it working? I've tried Google and the Samsung site, but I get the same 4 questions answered over and over again.

Let's say I'm willing to spend $500 for a printer...but my only incentive to do so (I have a normal printer now) would be that it allows me to print my own larger-format prints, on 11 x 17 paper (or even larger if that was possible).
