I have a MacBook running OS X 10.6.8 and a Brother HL-2270DW printer. This morning I had to reset my entire system using Time Machine; everything else is up and running, but the printer doesn't work. I've tried reinstalling it with the printer setup disc, but the laptop won't detect our wireless connection when I get to that step (it suggests disabling my personal firewall, but I don't have one set up.), and the laptop won't let me add any printers in System Preferences. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated, because I've spent all afternoon trying to figure this out.

My spouse needs a new all-in-one printer for her office Mac. It needs to do all of the usual all-in-one functions - print, scan, copy, fax. She does occasionally need to print in color. The most important criterion is that it play well with the Mac - both with set-up and with the individual functions.

I've downloaded the correct driver (version 8.61) off epson.com to get my new Epson NX430 printer to work with Mac OS X 10.7.2 Lion on my 2011 Macbook Pro, but the printer still only works when the USB cable is connected. It won't work using WiFi, even though my Internet connection seems to be fine.

[MomFilter] Looking for a reasonably cheap, reliable printer (for printing text) for an iMac. Leaning towards laser as the experiences with inkjets have been that bouts of little use lead to still full, yet dry and thus worthless ink cartridges.

What Mac OS X software will let me scan things using my second hand Canon
ImageRunner C5800 networked printer/scanner? There's PC software available, but I'd rather not have to run XP just to scan things. Note: if I sound clueless I am; if I'm missing something obvious then please tell me.

I am using a Lexmark Z605 printer with a Mac OSX 10.5.4 laptop. When I try to print documents it doesn't give me several options (they are crossed out): color options, advanced layout, quality, or printer services. When I click on them (for example, color options) it says:
"The bundle 'ColorOptions' could not be loaded because it does not contain a version for the current architecture.
Contact the bundle's creator listed here for the latest version.
1.0.3 2000-2003 Lexmark International Inc."
What to do? Is the "current architecture" my laptop?

I have a printer on my MacMini and I want to be able to use it for print requests from my Windows XP laptop. I was able to get it working using CUPS and the MacMini's IP address, but the problem is that since the Mac is on a DHCP wireless network, the IP address can (and has) changed. Now printing from the laptop won't work. How do I identify the Mac from the laptop without using an IP address?
