Did anyone claim that "Enron couldn't happen in the UK"?
I'm looking for actual examples of politicians/commentators/business leaders stating that an Enron-style collapse couldn't happen in the UK due to stronger corporate governance culture here than in the US.

In the U.S.: Do you use a press release distribution service that you would recommend? This is for a small business (with a relatively small budget) that at the moment mainly needs coverage in a metropolitan area, but which may soon expand to online sales so it would be good to establish as much visibility as possible. I have recently purchased a Heidelberg Windmill platten press and am starting a letterpress and design company. I am a Graphic Designer by trade so I have the skill, all I am lacking is some insight into creating a solid business plan and help with suppliers etc... within Canada.
What experience do you have with getting plates made in Canada?
Do you use Polymer plates?
Ink Suppliers?
Paper Suppliers?
Getting die's made?
Any information above and beyond is much appreciated.

Hey all,
Just a quick question, here. Currently I am trying to manage a number of blog-esque sites, i.e. MySpace, Face book, Word press, and of course Metafilter. I was wondering if anyone knew of programs to help maximize my productivity when updating these.
For example, I often post new songs I have created. Is there any program that would allow me to post an update across all my pages from one central hub? How about managing my messages from these sites? Any way to manage those in my regular email, or is there a program that could unify these?
Basically I'm wondering if there is some type of "command station" program to help manage multiple sites like this one.
Thanks in advance for any help! Hope you all had a great weekend.

I was sure I remembered that Geraldine Ferraro cried during the 1984 presidential election, and that the media made the event into a symbol of why women are too weak to hold national office, but now I can't find a headline or news article from that time that mentions her crying. Am I getting this mixed up with Pat Schroeder's famous breakdown when she dropped out?
