I'm doing some research on the 2004 US Presidential Debates. For some reason I can't seem to find the definitive numbers on television audiences for the three debates. It would be great if somebody could point me to a resource that breaks down the viewing audiences in the US and abroad with as much detail as possible.

I heard recently on NPR a story
about the new Clinton Presidential Library and how all of the gifts of original artwork sent to the President were kept as it was illegal to throw or give away any of it. The story went on that all the artwork was at the library but that there was so much that only a slight minority of it would ever be displayed. My question is, does anyone know more about this law obligating the President to keep the drawing I send him/her? Would they have to keep it even if it stunk or was otherwise somehow unappealing? I imagine you know what I'm getting at with our friend W in office for another four years...

Are there any special protocols concerning the use of photos/portraits of the POTUS? I'm asking because I'm curious as to why all the Presidents up to Bush I here
used a painting while Clinton and W. Bush used photos. Is there a set number of years before a President should get a portrait?

after yesterday's speech
, recent discussions (mefi included
) have focused on the potential of illinois' barack obama and the idea that he may, in the near future, sit in the oval office.
which gets me to thinking: what's more realistic/ which will happen first in the united states: a minority president or a woman president
