Can you help me to find an image or series of images which when revealed section by section or one by one suggest different things about a single situation? Like the old UK show Catchphrase
I need an image which is initially covered and split into say 4 or 6 pieces. Each section is revealed bit by bit. Each reveal throws some new light on the situtation. It is not until the final section is revealed that the whole thing makes sense. [more inside]

Using Open Office Impress...need a little help with making a navigation bar. I have all the slides ready, just can't figure out how to add a visible nav bar with the usual buttons or arrows ie: First, Previous, Next, and Last. I can make it so that when anyone clicks, the next slide appears, but I would like to dress it up a bit if possible. BONUS : Understand that I've never used this, or PP before...and I'm kinda dumb.

Who writes about better Powerpoint presentations, and says most are bad? Seeking book and/or author about how to do PowerPoint, by a woman who spoke on Minnesota Public Radio (or NPR) about a month ago, before Thanksgiving. I've Googled, and searched MPR/NPR to no avail She did the Ppt's for Al Gore's slide show and movie. She said most presentations were awful. and Sounded convincing. That's most of what I remember. And there are lots of PowerPoint books. can anyone help?

I have a presentation which includes a number of videos. They don't play. I am assuming this is a codec problem - but as the videos are mpeg-2 maybe this isn't the case (I thought that by going for an old
codec they were more likely to work). PowerPoint 2007, XP. I have admin rights so can install extra codecs, and I have linux with ffmpeg/mplayer so I can convert the videos. What should I do?

I do PowerPoint design for a living and -- finally, begrudgingly -- I am switching to PowerPoint 2007. So far, do not like. So, a two-part question: 1. Can anyone suggest a text or video tutorial on moving to PowerPoint 2007 for 2003 power users? 2. I've seen some "make PowerPoint 2007 work like PowerPoint 2003" add-ins. Does anyone have experience/recommendations for any of those? Thanks!

Has anyone had any luck with this, or know of any converters, or know some other way to link to the animation via PowerPoint but not actually as a slide?

I want to be able to click through some Powerpoint slides in a really large room when my computer is at the other end of it (about 100 ft away). There are no physical boundaries in the way (it's in direct sight). Do I need an RF mouse for this?
If so, does anyone have recommendations of good ones to buy? and where? It doesn't need to be overly fancy, probably a click and maybe a RMB click would be sufficient...

I'm looking for a way to place a browser window into a PowerPoint slide so that I can access web pages during my presentation and have them updated in real time.
I've played around a bit with LiveWeb, which has behaved a bit erratically, and am hesitating before plunking down money for something like T-Dog's PowerPoint Web Browser. It doesn't need to have terribly robust browser capabilities - an address bar, forward/backward buttons and a "refresh" button should suffice.
Anyway, I'd love to hear people's advice - the simpler, the better; I am a confirmed non-geek. If it matters (and I assume it does), I'm running Windows XP and PowerPoint 2003.
Thanks in advance for your answers to my first-ever Ask MeFi question!
