i live two floors above the wireless router, and my powerbook can't get a strong enough signal. what's the most cost-effective solution? [more inside]

Wifi acting odd... at the pub down the street I can always connect to the Wifi server, but half the time my browser times out trying to load anything, and nothing can connect. Half the time it works fine. [more inside]

Another for WIFIfilter: I just inherited a G4 powerbook from a friend. I updated the AirSoft software and can successfully connect to every wireless network I try--except the one in my apartment. [more inside]
