IE-specific WordPress error

Question about WordPress, IE, and peculiar "no posts matched your criteria" errors. Using "The Future Is Now," a plugin that allows you to show future posts on WordPress, I set it up so that readers of a particular weblog could start discussion threads under "'upcoming" posts, not just published ones.

The "discuss" link works great under Firefox. But under Internet Explorer 7, on the other hand, it returns a confusing error: "No posts matched your criteria."

This seems baffling. Any ideas why WP links would behave differently on different browsers?

The links in question look like this:

http://website.com/?p=1395

And the code that goes there is pretty basic...A link to a PHP'd-in "the_permalink()," plus some style stuff.

Any help much appreciated!

Is there a way to show all my blog posts?

Is there a script that will show summaries of every post from my blog, using a feed from a Blogger blog? I use this widget to display the first 100 or so characters from each post from a feed of my blog. When you copy & paste the code from that webpage into a Blogger blog post, it displays headings from your blog posts along with a summary for each one.

But the problem is that there's a limit: it only displays your 25 most recent posts. Is there any kind of widget that will show all the posts, with no limit?

It would be sufficient if there were a script that would let me specify: "Display posts #1-25," then separately, "Display #26-50," etc. That way, I could just combine them.

How do I automate the exporting of Bloglines Keep New blog posts?

How can I automate the exporting of Keep New blog posts from Bloglines to del.icio.us? Although reading my Bloglines LifeHacker feed is a joy-filled daily ritual. Yet, Gina, Adam, Josh et. al. are the chief contributors to the ballooning number of almost 400 LifeHacker articles in my Bloglines account with the Keep New check box thingy ticked-off.

I am finally convinced I have to use a different method to store Blogline posts for my future reference and review. I would hate to lose LifeHacker goodies or any of my other +/- 1500 Keep New posts because they represent 3 years of meta-aggregation.

As you can imagine, manually exporting a post-per-click with Firefox's del.icio.us add-on is a time-intensive task with a high score on the boring and tedious index.

Perhaps a MeFite King of Kode has already written a script to automate the Bloglines export process while retaining the posts' titles and URLs?

What direction does the hive noggin offer?

Add recent blog posts (titles) to another website?

What is the best way to add summaries/titles of my recent blog posts (Blogger) to my personal website? Looking for something small for the sidebar (like the "Recent posts" on the blog page). "Best" would be something that loads quickly and does not require extra software. Is there a solution through Blogger (I could not find one) or is something like a Google module rss reader a better solution?

Keeping up with comment threads across sites?

How do I keep up with interesting comment threads across sites? I already use an RSS aggregator to keep up with site-posted content, but sometimes I want to know what has been posted to a comment thread since I last read the comments. The problem is that I don't always remember which site it was on, or how to get back to it. I know most activity drops off once things scroll off the front page, so I really am looking for a way to scrape the comments for a given URL or forum thread and keep them all in one place so I know what's happening where. This problem would be solved if you could subscribe to a feed for any thread on any site, but since that's not possible, what's the next best thing?

What material should I use for a cover for a portfolio made with chicago-style screwposts?

What material should I use for a cover for a portfolio made with chicago-style screwposts? I'm looking to make up some portfolio covers, similar in design to these. I've thought of plexiglas, sheet metal and masonite (don't you have to wear a respirator when you cut masonite? I seem to remember something about toxic fumes.) But I have a feeling I'm stuck inside a box and there's a much cooler solution out there.

I'd like it to be durable and easy to cut (I can deal with wood and plexiglas, but probably not sheet metal.) Any other ideas that spring to mind? i'm not wedded to something stiff -- floppiness could be charming as well. And it doesn't have to be readymade - I'm willing to spend an obsessive amount of time on the right technique, so if you have a recipe for a durable papyrus, please let me know. Thanks.

Display my blog entries on another site?

Quick-n-dirty way to put a "teaser" latest blog entry on my homepage? The facts: I've got a blog and a more static "homepage." They're separate, totally different designs. Someday they'll be hosted together on the same server under the same domain, but until then they don't even know one another exists. The blog is powered by Blogger and hosted on their Blogspot.

I'd like to show my latest blog post as a teaser on the front page of my personal website, in an iframe. Ideally it would even have a word limit -- maybe the first 100 words and then an ellipsis and link to the actual blog.

I can't figure out how to make it happen, though.

Things I've considered:
- Adding it as live RSS content. Since I own both sites, it ought to be easy. Unfortunately, I can't find a free RSS parser that will allow me to do it without having my server up. The server won't be up for a while for reasons I can't control... and I don't want to pay $50 for a parser license, only to junk it once my server comes online and I can do it for free with server-side stuff.

- Somehow putting the standard Blogger tags into my homepage (or iframe) and actually publishing each entry both places. Not actually sure how I could do this -- is there an automated way to do it? Would I have to cut and paste each entry into two separate posts in two separate Blogger accounts?

There should be an easy way to do this, since I'm dealing exclusively with my content (sites and feeds). But, I've been putting this off for the duration of the time it's taken to build the sites, and now I've got a glaring white space on my homepage that I'd rather not show off to the world. Thanks in advance for your ideas!

Posted: Question about, er, posting.

Why do signs to deter trespassers use the convention "Posted: No Trespassing" when the very fact that such a sign is physically posted makes the use of the word "Posted" redundant? I do realize that in some locations, the verbiage of the signs are mandated by law -- but that doesn't explain why the use of the term posted *would* be law, when it's self-evident that a posted sign is... posted.
