My parents just put in a pool, and what with the rain washing dirt and worms in and the trees shedding, it takes hours and hours of skimming and vacuuming work a week. What's the best solution here? [more inside]

I am pondering whether to get one of those $100-150 department-store above-ground swimming pools to help beat the heat. Are they a steal, or am I wasting my money? Comments from anyone who owns one?
