Last Fall, we bought an awesome house. Now we want a pool, hot tub and new landscaping. Who is the correct professional to help us design a multi-year project that involves some construction, a lot of landscaping (both hard and soft) and a pool?

Is it worth thousands of dollars to fix an inground pool? I've own my home in northern Delaware for less than a year. One of the reasons I bought this house was it had a pool. I bought the house when it was in foreclosure, so I knew there would be many repairs to do to the house, pool included. The inground pool is about 30ft by 10ft by about 7ft deep. Estimates to repair the pool liner and large filter are in the neighborhood of 5-6k.

Sorry for the squick factor but I'm curious. What happens if someone bleeds, vomits or poops in a public swimming pool? Do they just fish out the solids and let the rest disperse? Or does it all get emptied out?

Looking for a decent motel around San Francisco/Santa Cruz with a heated pool and lots of teens/preteens hanging out (I have 12 and 15 year old daughters). Also good: inexpensive, no bed bugs, wifi. But the pool and other kids are really all they care about.

Can anyone recommend a good Solar Cover Reel for an 18'x36' size pool?
All the reviews seem bad and the industry as a whole doesn't seem on the up and up.
I'm currently looking for one that will go over my low profile diving board and have found the following one for $399 that seems the best one I can find. - "http://www.solarcovers.com/product/solar-cover-reels/commercial-reels/commercial-grade-reel/commercial-grade-solar-reel-for-pools-up-to-20-ft-wide-locking-casters-included" -
Can you let me know what you recommend for a different one or what your opinion is of the one I found? I hate to spend sooo much money on something that might not be up to par. Thanks!

Long story short but there was a dishonest home seller & realtor and the house we purchased has a pool with leaking skimmer line. No suction for vacuuming. We have a temporary garden hose vacuum for the big stuff. Any idea how I can get the little stuff until this is repaired?

After tens of thousands of games of pool, every time I rack the balls I seem to switch about half of them around. I know I'm wasting time. So, I want to know exactly how many balls I should
normally expect to swap (the median), and what is the most I should
ever have to swap. For those of you who aren't pool nerds like me, I've explained the 8-ball racking process inside.

We have a pool and we need a pool cleaner. The pool shop has recommended this
Pandora robotic cleaner. It costs a lot – A LOT – of money. And I can’t find any consumer reviews telling me if it’s worth the almost $2000 AUD. Does anyone have any experience with either this particular model, or the other models of robotic pool cleaners that are a step up from the
Kreepy Krawly or
Baracuda-style suction cleaners, but a step below a commercial pool cleaner?

Help me remember this movie: a stereotypical 80's comedy/horror that takes place during a party in a large house. One of the rooms has a giant swimming pool where couples keep sneaking away for some privacy. There's a monster at the bottom of the pool that can use the heads of previous victims to talk to and entrap new victims. I distinctly remember the pool being warm and somewhat dirty but each successive visitor just couldn't resist.
