Sprial, Season 1, Episode 8?

What the heck is going on in Spiral, Season 1, Episode 8?
*SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT* I got totally hooked on the French police drama Spiral, because of a recent question on here about it. First - thanks, I am loving the show!

Second, after watching the last episode of the first season (episode 8), I was left with a couple of questions that I couldn't answer, and wondered if anyone here had any insight.

*Spoilers Below!*

1. Why the heck does Joséphine rip up/destroy the evidence clearing Leroy? Did I miss something here? I mean, she seems like she can be a bitch at times, okay, but this seemed totally unmotivated to me. Did it have something to do with Laborde, like she accepts his offer and this has something to do with it??

2. And what about Laborde? Does he just totally get off? Who's the dead body at the end? Is that meant to be him, and if so do we know who did it?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! Thanks in advance!

Help me find an old cop drama

Can you help me find the name of an old cop show? It was on for two or three seasons in the 80's. I can't remember too much about this, it was an ensemble cast, I think it took place in the South or West, and at the end of the last season the cliffhanger was the token black cop left in a coma. The show wasn't picked up for the next year. The lead in the show was somebody kinda famous, but his name escapes me.

Weee-Waaah-Weeee-Waaaah

CopFilter: In TV shows and movies cops (usually homicide detectives) often have lights and siren installed in their personal cars. Doe this really happen? There are literally dozens of movies and shows where this is the case (immediately off the top of my head I can think of Journeyman and Bad Boys). A cop has a car (most notable when it's a nice car) which has full lights and siren set up in it (in Journeyman, Jack's car has red/blue flashers in windscreen, siren and headlight flashers).

So it is real? I'm fairly sure it doesn't happen in my neck of the woods - although I know that some Fire service personnel have removable lights (of the stick on the roof variety) for their cars.
