Adrienne Rich poem

Poetry question: Do you think Adrienne Rich's "November 1968" is literally about burning leaves? Does she intend that month and year to mean something to the reader? Any other thoughts? [more inside]

What poetry should I read?

Can you suggest a poet or two to me? I'd like to have some poems to read at night before I go to sleep. I don't know anything about poetry and I'm afraid that buying something at random or because it has won a prize will leave me with poetry that is too dense and unapproachable. [more inside]

Emily Dickinson's Weirdest Poems (or Portions Thereof)?

For a project I'm working on, I need to find some of Emily Dickinson's most bizarre, inscrutable, puzzling, borderline-disturbing poems (or just single lines/couplets/stanzas etc.). Rather than go through all her poems trying to find them, I thought I'd ask her to see if anyone knew of any. I'll also accept poems where she talks about writing or language--I have some quotes but not anything full. [more inside]

I've read a poem that has intrigued me and piqued my curiosity but unfortunately it also confused me. It would be great if someone here could elucidate its meaning for me. The poem is The Curse by John Donne.

Do you this Poem?

I am looking for a poem that I read in Time or Newsweek or some such magazine about ten years ago (probably longer). I am almost sure that the poet was Scandinavian and the poem was about the co-existence of good and bad things in the world. The poem illustrated this concept by talking about the existence of a tongue amongst sharp teeth and how a gentle heart is held by the rib cage. Any ideas? Thanks.

Where do the internet-savvy poets hang out?

What are the best online communities for poets? This previous thread says that poetryslamming was pretty good, but it looks dead now. Are there any others?
