Itunes/Ipod Question ~
Podcasts transferred from Itunes (to my iPod) will continue playing from where I last stopped.
However, I have some podcasts that I downloaded manually (not from itunes), how do i make iTunes 'know' that it is a podcast and not a regular mp3?

PodcastFilter- My co-worker thinks that podcasting is just a fad and that a year from now this "craze" will have passed. I think she's wrong and have wagered her on it. What independent third party source can we use to measure how wrong she is?

How do you automate podcast reception with a Dell Pocket DJ.
This is probably a bit too specific for askmefi, but I'm desperate enough to give it a shot. I'm trying to make a Dell Pocket DJ work like an ipod, where you plug in the player, run a program and the shows appear on the device.

Where can I find some short podcasts that teach languages? I'm particularly interested in Spanish and Arabic. I'm looking for something I can listen to on my PDA when I have 5-15 minutes - I never seem to get a clear half hour.

I'm looking for an inexpensive set-up to allow me to do portable podcasting. Is there a good combination of MP3 player and microphone that can be had for less than, say, $350 that would still result in decent audio quality?

At the end of next week, I will be embarking on a move from the New York City area to San Jose, California. I have this brilliant (or slightly overzealous) idea to "geophotopodcast" my way across the country using a combination of different technologies, so my friends back home can keep up with my adventures. What suggestions can you offer me for making my high-tech travelog cooler / easier to execute?

I'm interested in acquiring a little comfort with spoken French - passively, by listening to it. I looked through a Podcast archive (and looked through some AskMe threads), and could only find French music. I'm interested in news, stories, interviews -- basically just listening to French people talking. Even stuff intended for children might be good.
