I'm starting a podcast where I will likely be interviewing people in their offices with different acoustic environments. I have a Zoom H2. Keeping it as simple as possible, exactly what techniques and software (on OS X) do I need to get the interview at a high level of audio quality, and make a high quality podcast out of it?

Starting a podcast (spoken word) and suddenly have the opportunity to interview the exact people I really shouldn't be "practicing" on. I'm a radiophile, want decent sound, but have no time to learn the technical side of sound recording before my interviews in a few days. I'm looking for podcast suggestions. The Geologic Podcast is my current favorite podcast. While I do like the whole skepticism angle of it, what I really love is the sketches and anecdotes (particularly Not The Bible and the Ukrainian family stories). What other podcasts do this sort of variety-show silly voice sketch kind of material? I'm also open to audiobook suggestions (John Hodgman fulfills a similar thing, for example-- something about the topic jumping around-ness). [more inside]

Any suggestions for great music podcasts? I should clarify that I am looking for actual music, not podcasts where people talk about music. Also, I would like something that is updated on a semi-regular basis, at least weekly. I am open to most any genre, and would love to hear what you consider to be the best music podcast available!

Recommend a podcast that offers valuable life lessons, but isn't a self-help or career-builder type podcast. Just a human being in his/her 40s or older who's been around the block and has valuable hard-won wisdom to share. Even better: guests with similar life experience. [more inside]

When users of my Spanish-language learning website visit it using Google Chrome, all the audio podcasts open at once, creating a cacophony which leads to bewildered emails (my users) and shame (me). The site is Spanish Newsbites, it's been built using Typepad, and I can't believe I'm the only person in the world experiencing this. Any solutions (simple is good) gratefully received.
I'm looking for a podcast on poetry (classical, modern, beat, all of it) where poems are read aloud, parsed, and accompanied by loads of biographical info and context, basically a poetry only version of Entitled Opinions. A search on itunes has not lead to much. I'm really not into a podcast that is simply poetry read aloud, i really want the analysis and insight of a host who really knows what they're talking about. THX.

I would to get a better idea for the history of pop, ideally all the way from Little Richard and up to 2010, though given that there is so much to cover, shorter pieces of this history are also of interest. I guess what I'm looking for is either a podcast or a TV series - something fun and interesting, and that at the end will give me a good feel for how different genres and bands fit together, who started what, and who influenced whom.
