Going with the family to the Poconos in Pennsylvania for the Thanksgiving weekend. We shall be staying in a rented house in Tannersville near the Camelback Ski Resort for 3 nights and 2 days. What are the best part of the Poconos and/or Adirondacks to visit during the winter? My wife and I would be first-time visitors to either region and are interested in winter hiking trails and snowmobiling - not skiing. We're looking to rent a cabin or stay at a nice resort/hotel. Would appreciate any suggestions or ideas!

My wife and I are new to the Poconos area (East Stroudsburg, PA, to be exact), and we're looking for something nice to do on our upcoming 5th wedding anniversary. Anyone from the area, or who's been to the area have any suggestions? We're thinking a nice dinner and then perhaps a show somewhere (if that's even an option). We're willing to drive an hour or so (but not much more) away.
