Window mounted air conditioner had a burned-up blade on the plug.
New replacement plug gets hot at the same blade.
New plug needs to be wiggled or the blades spread to make electrical contact in the socket.
What's the problem here? Bad plug, bad socket or air conditioner pulling too much juice for either plug or socket?

Firstly, I apologize for asking about computer cooling, as I'm sure there are tons of questions about it, but my problem is with the specifics.
The fans in my gaming computer have been running much more lately, probably due to the warmer weather making my room quite hot. (My current fans are adequate, the computer's never been above 128f, they're just loud and high-pitched)
I salvaged 2 fans from older Dell desktops, but I'm pretty clueless about the many types of connectors involved. It looks like I'll be buying a fan controller, but first I need to know what connectors it needs to have.
In addition, I want to make sure that the added fans won't be too much for my power supply
In short, can you please give me advice on the best way to cool my computer, preferably with the fans I already have? [more inside]

My son broke off the plug in my Aux input on my 2008 Nissan Altima. There is no piece sticking out far enough to get with needle nose pliers. Any idea on how I can clear the plug to be able to use it again?

I found a radiogram on the street. There are two short wires out the back, both stripped about 1/4" bare, and no plug. With regard to polarity, does it matter how I attach a new lead and plug? I'm in the US and will be plugging it in to 110V.

How do you secure a plug so that even if someone yanks on the chord, it doesn't come out of an outlet? It does need to be POSSIBLE to get the plug out sometimes, and it won't work to glue/staple the chord to the wall, because sometimes equipment needs to be moved to another room.

Is it possible to convert or otherwise use Photshop plugins from Windows to Mac? I have lots of legacy plugins and effects from the old Windows PC here at work. We switched to Mac but many of the plugins are not available for Mac.
