I have an idea for a unique gift for a friend, and one of the things I need is a small device (say, pack-of-cigarettes size or smaller) that will accept and store multiple short audio samples (say, 10 seconds or less, at least six individual samples), and play a random sample at the press of a button. Does such a device exist?

CD player in my car stopped working (everything else works tape and radio) and when I asked from the dealer I was quoted around $400 to repair it. Since it's not worthwhile spending $400 for a repair I thought of getting an aftermarket player.

1.I'm looking for "demo coding" specific websites... i've seen a few that were lame, like, i wouldnt consider gamedev.net a demo coding site... oh, and by demo i mean graphics demo, like the ones seen on pouet.net.
2.a link to the smallest audio player you can think of, must play ogg, mp3, xm, it, mod, and s3m... the smallest i've found is called xmplay on un4seen.com, its 250kb or so

i innocently inserted a
CD Laser-Lens Cleaner-type thing into the slot-loading CD player of my '99.5 VW Jetta. It was playing ~60% of CDs inserted into it, but now plays 0%. Is there a remedy, or is iPod my only hope?
