I'm going to help my brother install a raised bed and some fruit trees/bushes in a couple of weeks. We're probably going to be putting in some raspberries/blackberries, blueberries, and maybe a few fruit trees. I do not want to purchase diseased/generic junk at a big box. Is there a decent garden center in the West Newton area? Bonus points for tipping me off to somebody who can deliver a yard or three of garden soil/compost. Many thanks!

27 year old straight male living in Pittsburgh.
I'm doing the OkCupid thing. I would like to go on a few dates, but I don't know where to go for a first date. Elsewhere on AskMe, people have said that a first date with someone you met on Okcupid should be brief compared to a first date with someone you've known in person for a while. Makes sense. I could put together an awesome date that was three hours long, but when I try to think of something short and sweet, I'm at a loss.

27 year old somewhat nerdy male. Non-drinker. Have lived in Pittsburgh for four years. Recently left a nights-and-weekends kitchen job for a 9-5 office job. I've never had nights and weekends off in my adult life and, silly as it sounds, need ideas on what to do.

My siblings and I are struggling to come up with a birthday present for our dad, who's turning 60 in a couple weeks. My sister-in-law heard about a thing in Philly where you can go on a tour of the city and learn to take pictures with your fancy digital camera, but we can't find a Pittsburgh equivalent. Help us, please!

I'm in community college for I.T. (associate's degree focused on network/sysadmin work, mostly). I have a valuable, but incomplete set of marketable skills at the moment. I have a good handle on how to market myself, but no clue as to who I should be directing my attention to job-search wise . What businesses would be interested in someone who is still in school, but has proven himself capable at an internship and is willing to work for cheap?

We need a sanity check on this trip, please! My partner and I are planning on getting out of South Carolina by this summer. We know we'd like to live further north, but there are five places we're considering and we're trying to plan the most economical yet useful trip to help us decide. So: what is the cheapest way to visit Pittsburgh, PA, Syracuse, NY, Burlington, VT, Portland, ME, and Providence, RI in a week?

Please help me find a kind, patient, gentle dentist in the South Hills of Pittsburgh (Mt.Lebanon/Dormont/Brookline area preferred but not required). I don't have anyone who can give me a personal referral, and I suffer from a lot of fear and anxiety w/r/t dental work, so it's been a while since I've had any. If I could find one who still uses nitrous oxide it'd be even better. Many thanks in advance!
