I am in my foruth month of Microgestin pills. I started taking the pills to help control my blackheads but just this month I started breaking out with really bad cystic acne. I tend to get deprresed easily and have always had severe cramps. I was wondering if anyone with matching ailments has any advice on birth control. It appears as if I have a acid sensitivity. I get acne fairly often (which apparently according to homeopaths can be from acid) and I also have chronic heart-burn issues that can become very painful. Unfortunately I am not willing to give up coffee, coca-cola or spicy foods. Maybe spicy foods, but caffeine is pretty important to me, I think caffeine pills are less acidic but I always end up strung out after a few months of a consistent periodic dose of caffeine. Lamisil pills are extremely expensive. Lamisil cream is very reasonably priced. Lamisil cream applied topically does nothing for a fungal toenail infection; one needs to ingest the drug to cure that type of infection. Could someone eat Lamisil cream for the same effect as the pills? What kind of dosage and preparation would be required?

I just started Seasonale about six weeks ago, and everything is going great, with one exception, the back pain. About ten years ago I ripped a disk in my lower back, which produced the inevitable sciatica. After working through it with physical therapy it pretty much went away, until recently it came back, about a week after I started the new pills. I have looked up the side effects, but back pain isn't mentioned. Has anyone else noticed a similar side effect with their b.c. pills?

PillsFilter. You'd think that a woman my age could swallow pills, but you'd be wrong. As I chewed several children's Tylenols this morning, I told myself that there had to be a way to master this skill. I should add that the problem is not the size of the pill, but the actual swallowing-without-chewing bit--even with teensy-tiny pills, my throat closes up. Any suggestions, before I manage to contract some deadly illness that requires the daily ingestion of an entire pharmacy?
