I haven't yet pulled the trigger on iOS 8, but I'm trying to understand the changes to Camera Roll and Photos app before I upgrade. I have read the Ars Technica review among others and still am not clear on the changes to Photos. [more inside]
I have an iPhone 4S running IOS7. I do not understand the relationship between the camera roll and the photo stream. Sometimes, it seems like photos are in one or the other. Sometimes it seems like they're in both. Sometimes it seems like deleting one deletes both copies. Sometimes it doesn't. Please help me make sense of it.
The primary photo repository in our house is connected to my iCloud account. I'd like my wife to have dead-simple access to my Photo Stream so that she can easily check out pics on her iDevices (she has her own iCloud account) after we pull them off the camera. How can I do this?
Is there an app out there that will dump a bunch of clip art into my iPad's photo album? [more inside]
I have an iPad 3 and I do not have Photo Stream turned on yet the Settings->Usage->Photos & Camera reports that Photo Stream is using 5.1GB? How is this possible and how do I recover the space?
I'd like photos that I take on my iPhone to automatically turn up on my mom's iPhone. I'd prefer to do this without setting up my iCloud account on her phone, since we don't need to share contacts, calendars, etc. Ideally the solution would be completely transparent for her, and require little or no ongoing effort from me once it's set up. Any tips on the best way to do this?
Is there anything like flickrriver that I can modify and host on my own website? Or... if not... any recommendations for something similar? [more inside]
