Does anyone have a URL where I can download Adobe Photoshop CS (Not CS2) for Mac? I'm trying to reinstall it, but I do not have the original install package. I did find a download link for the CS trial version, but this version does not let me enter a serial number. The 'registration' menu item is grayed out.
Alternatively, is there a way that I can plug in my serial number to the trial version that I found.

I'm a GIMP user, and I'm trying to figure out how to mimic the actions one can set up on Photoshop. Specifically, I'd like to set up a sequence that sets photos to a standard size (600 x ___), adds a standard black border, flattens the image, and saves the whole thing to a set folder. I'm not the most savvy GIMP user, so clear instructions on how to do this sort of thing would be greatly appreciated.

irritatinglybasicfilter: I made a really big picture in photoshop. It is about 5 feet long. I want to print it, but I can only print one page of the whole picture - a small section of the whole thing. I looked at the photoshop help pages, and searched askme and the internet for help, but I'm afraid I know too little to even understand where to look for the answer to my dumb question. If it matters (I suspect it doesn't), I'm using CS version 8 on my Mac.

Photoshop question: I have a large image which I want to color-correct. I've been testing on a shrunken version of the file, and I'm actually happy with the results of just doing auto-levels. However, if I do auto-levels on the full-size image, I get totally different results. How can I get the same results on the full-size image?

Does anybody know of anyplace I can get a cheap legal copy of Adobe Illustrator CS2 and Photoshop CS2? I would be fine purchasing a used copy if it was completely legal. I do not have the money right now to buy the software at the normal retail price but would like to learn them. Also, if I were to buy a used product from eBay, what should I make sure it includes to make it a legal copy? Cheers!

I've just finished making a few hundreds annotations to forty or so PSD files, and am quite ready to be done with them. However, being annotations, they all have my name at the top! I just installed the Creative Suite2 on my new Intel-based iMac. If I have InDesign open Photoshop will crash upon opening or crash InDesign and open Photoshop. The two will not run simultaneously. A fresh reinstall did not fix the problem.

Help me impersonate a graphic designer! I know it’s kind of insane, but as early as this afternoon I may receive the proverbial offer (well, assignment) that I can’t refuse, and I’m wondering if anyone might be able to offer some fake-it-till-you-make-it tips for this sort of project (a short catalogue for a half-dozen or so boutique products). See, the thing is, I'm not a designer, although I have some experience with Quark, Illustrator and Photoshop. I’m most interested in a list of ten or fifteen things that you talented designer folks do over and over again that seem impressive to the uninitiated, but that are simpler than they appear to we of the untrained eyes. Books are also fine, but due to the potential immediacy of this, the shorter the tutorial, the better.

I'm creating a series of Photoshop Actions to automate processing images for my blogs. Most of it is resizing images and the like, which is easily done in an action. As part of this, I'd like to open a dialog to ask for a filename, then to save the processed image to a specific directory with that filename. Can that be done in an action, or do I need to write a script to do it?

My computer crashed, the HD was reformatted and now when I try to use the following fonts, there gone. I use windows EX, MS office and want to use the following fonts in Photoshop CS. I would like to reinstall the following fonts; Amaze, Bangle, Bickley, Broadway, Stencil, Stop, Surfer, Wide latin, MS gothic.
