I'm a photoshop newbie. I recently came back from vacation and have close to 1500 pictures on my harddrive. It's overwhelming just thinking about filtering, organizing, and editing the pictures. What is you guys' workflow when it comes to managing and editing large amount of pictures. I don't want to edit all of them. I just want to pick out the ones I like and edit those but there are just way too many pictures to go through.

I'm retouching some portraits in Photoshop, and lately I've been noticing in magazines, especially fashion magazines, some images with what is apparently a filter which gives the pics a shiny, luminous, almost silver, wet, oily appearance. Graphic design and/or photoshop question. I'm designing a T-shirt, and I need to prepare/convert a photo I have of a car so that it is more T-shirt-ish. What I mean is, the photo is, well, photorealistic. Cars on shirts are usually sort of cartoony. Though I don't want to mess with the dimensions of the car and make it squished and bouncy looking. I just need the car to be less colors, or outlined, or ... something. I can't even really describe what I mean. Take a look at these images of T-shirts. [more inside]
