Wondering if anyone else who uses the Wacom Intuos5 drawing tablet knows how to deal with this problem. My Intuos3, which I loved, had a big dead space in the middle of the drawing pad because I used a cleaner on it that messed it up. Two new versions had been released since I bought it, so I figured it was time to get the latest and greatest. [more inside]

I'm thinking of getting an Intuos 4 tablet for my photo work (Lightroom, Photoshop). Obviously, it's the bees knees for Photoshop--anyone using it with Lightroom (where I do most of my editing)? Which version to get? Thinking the medium or the slightly smaller wireless version--do they have enough real estate for effective use with a 23/24" Apple Cinema Display? Lastly, are there any rumors about an impending refresh? The wireless version was released over a year ago, and the wired versions were released almost two years ago. [more inside]

I have an old Active XP-Pen graphics tablet with up to date drivers that I use for occasional graphic design work in Photoshop CS2. All seems to be fine except when I use the smudge tool. After a short while the action on screen becomes laggy and then Photoshop hangs completely. No amount of waiting has brought it back so far so I lose work. Will getting a nice shiney new Wacom tablet solve my problem or is this more likely a hardware issue on my PC's side? [more inside]

I have the opportunity to buy an used x Wacom intuos graphics tablet to use with my photoshop program. It would cost about $85.00 with shipping. It is being offered on e-bay without the software that the owner says is free to download from the Wacom site. My question is to those of you with Wacom experiance, would it be better for a newbe to go for the more expensive (new) wacom to take advantage of the provided software and hard copy instructions or do you think a person that is reasonalbly technologically proficient with computers / downloading etc. be able to get up to speed using advice typically found on the internet? Thank you...

I've been drawing a comic book, and I'm assembling and coloring the pages in Photoshop. My old 4 X 5 Wacom Graphire 3 tablet seems to be falling short of my needs (poor tracking, and meager pressure sensitivity), and I was looking for opinions about replacing it with a 4 X 5 Intuos tablet (twice the pressure sensitivity) or a larger Graphire 3 (6 X 8)?
