What's the best online picture gallery you have come across? Priority is the user-interface ( ease of navigation ) than the quality of the pictures themselves. [more inside]

How should I put my diary / autobiography online? I'm almost asking how best to order and annotate my old photos, but I'd like the possibility of more extensive writing as well. I'm expecting to order things by date, but advice on categories would be good. It's not a commercial venture, just fun for the extended family. [more inside]

I just went on a cruise with a big group of people. We all took photos. We would all like to upload our photos to a common online album. How would we go about doing that?

Digital fullfilment/Photography Question:
My sister's wedding had a large number of photographs taken by their friend who's a professional photographer, on his high end nikon Digital. He gave them the photos as a wedding gift, and they want people to be able to order prints on demand online.
however, they wanted to see if it were possible to tack on a small fee per photo and have the profit go to their friend.
1. What are some good print on demand sites (ofoto, etc?)
2. Do any of them allow this kind of thing?
Thanks in advance.

Long ago, I recall seeing a link (maybe on MeFi, but I can't find it) for a website that displayed some pretty impressive technology used to bring out the detail from shadows in photographs. I seem to recall that there was an online version that you could use for testing (upload your photo and it would lighten the shadow areas). Does anyone remember this, and if so, do you know the URL?
