Mac photo screensaver: are there any simple and free alternatives available that
don't automatically resize the images to fit the screen, and have more display options?

I have a bunch of photos I haven't uploaded to Flickr. Why? Because it's a pain with the tools I have now. I want to be able to color-correct, title, caption, tag, and upload photos from my Mac as fast as possible.

OK, here's a dumb one. Twitter keeps saying my photo is too big. Can't seem to compress my photos with either iPhoto or Automator. Help.

I'm looking for a program (OS X, must be 10.5.8-compatible with my oldtimey work computer) that will generate contact sheets of photos and it must print the file name under each photo and allow for a title to be entered on top (ex. Marcy Building Site Visit 1/13/2010).
Right now, my work computer has iPhoto 5 and Photoshop Elements 3 on it. PE can do everything except auto-add a title.
Is there anything that can do all of this AND run on this crotchety eMac?

Wondering if there's a Mac OS X program that I could drop an image file on and tell it "Make me a 'best quality' JPEG out of this that winds up being no more than 10 mb in size".

So, my friend, a new Mac user, accidentally deleted roughly five years worth of personal photos from his computer. Yeah. Is there any way to get them back?

I am thinking of getting a Mac. I blog a lot and post pictures. On my PC I get Properties and then size the photo via Irfan. How would I lift photos from sites to post on my blog using a Mac?

I'm helping my mother buy a digital camera for her extended trip to Thailand and have exhausted dpreview.com and the various other review sites. I need real-people recommendations: she wants something with decent resolution (at least 3 mp; I hope for 4 or better); under $300 hopefully; decent battery life (we tried a Nikon Coolpix but the batteries didn't last long enough - the Canon Powershot s50 batteries lasted for 200 shots and lots of flash, but the camera is just out of her price range); compact flash, since I have a number of cards for her, and ease of use. And it has to work with an older iMac with os9. Any ideas?
