Getting mom an iPad. She says she wants a camera connector (she has a Canon EOS 40D) and "Photoshop" for it. She uses Photoshop on her iMac. I see Photoshop Express and Photoshop Tools. Should I get both/neither/something else? Are there good ipad-based tutorials for how to use Photoshop or similar tools for the ipad? Any other suggestions?

I have several thousand images from almost 30 years of photography and filmmaking scattered throughout one of four hard drives on my Mac. I want to move all my images to their own drive, build a searchable photo library, and I need a way to organize, tag, search, and easily find images.

How do I get
this look when editing my photos? It seems to be characterized by high contrast in the midtones but muted contrast at the extremes, along with desaturated neutral colors but saturated vivid colors. I've tried and tried, but I can't seem to figure it out.

I want to get some feedback on my idea for photographing eroded gravestones before I go out and buy the materials to test it. I propose taking two camera flashes and putting green film over one and red film over the other. Then I'll mount one on the left and one on the right of the camera. I
hope that this will give green shadows on one side of the carvings and red shadows on the other, and by fiddling with the resulting photo in Photoshop I'll be able to see the faded carvings better. Does this sound as though it would work? Could I get by with a single coloured flash? Is there a better way?

I have a
picture I want to modify in photoshop, and I'm sure there are relevant tutorials out there on the web, but I don't know how to describe what I want to do to it. Basically, I'd like to give it the illusion of depth -- make the back wall seem further away, and give it more of a sense of perspective, so you get more of a feeling of looking into a room, and less like you're looking at a flattened image of a room. Is there a term for that?

I want to color correct my digital photos, but I have a color vision deficiency. Up to now, I've been correcting the levels manually, but relying on the auto-color features in Picasa or Photoshop for colors, but often this doesn't do a good job and the colors look off, even to me. I can manually correct the levels and adjust the colors so they look right to me, but that doesn't guarantee they will look right to others. Is there any way to color correct numerically (for instance, using the eyedropper tool on someone's face to to see if the RGB value of skin falls within a skin-tone range) Otherwise, is there a service that I can send my digital photos to where they can color correct them perfectly and send them back? I'm interested in the digital files, not in getting prints.
