Has anyone taken a course on miksang contemplative photography and how did you find it? Did it apply to all your images, i.e. stills and portrait photography. Can you provide some details on the learning process?

I've been looking at environments, especially my home, and seeing how they impact me in terms of imagery. I'm specifically looking for images I could place in my home that are evocative of successful relationship. [more inside]

Two image printing questions:
1) Will Costco trim images (and if not, is there a similarly priced & equally high quality competitor who will), and
2) What are my options for turning images into print-on-demand postcards? [more inside]

Mrs. dyno04 has started getting a few clients for her photography business now, however most of the initial clients have been neighbors, friends, and family. As part of the end result she gives the clients a set of watermarked images and a set of high-resolution images. The print release specifically states that only the watermarked images can be used on Facebook. A few people have used the non-watermarked images on Facebook and she is wondering what is the best way to approach them to ask them to use the watermarked versions, keeping in mind that most of these people are people we interact with on a regular basis. She doesn't want to become "that" person that is only about making a dime.

I have several thousand images from almost 30 years of photography and filmmaking scattered throughout one of four hard drives on my Mac. I want to move all my images to their own drive, build a searchable photo library, and I need a way to organize, tag, search, and easily find images. [more inside]

I'm compiling a set of 30-40 photographs related to any and all aspects of disease for a high school visual literacy project. The students are high school juniors who are struggling with literacy and writing. I'd love your suggestions for compelling, diverse, and striking images and sites that have collections of same. As a photographer with particular interest in 'stitcher' type panoramic images I was interested in the hardware and software that Google have used for their street scene application. Does anyone have any info? What type of camera and lens combo and specialist software, even if it was written just for Google.

What is the best approach to color management? I only just realised that how I see my photos in iPhoto, Photoshop, and Safari isn't how the majority of people on the net are seeing them? What is the best setup for consistent color management that still looks good? [more inside]

I'd like to create a stock photo service for a client. Does anyone have any recommendations for existing services such as photostockplus.com
or those that focus on selling digital content such as tidwit.com
or the now defunct blish.com
. Is there a leader in this marketplace? [more inside]

I am a photographer. My photographs are currently on a website that I used to work with but have since had a disagreement. I own the copyright to my images and would like the website to remove them. They are being very slow in their response as removing the images will create very negative publicity for them.
I have maintained their website for the last 4 years and have full admin access to their dedicated server. If I log in and remove my images, could I be accused of misuse of computers? [more inside]

How do I beat up an image in Photoshop? In other words, how do I add what looks to be physical wear-and-tear to images, like this
, or the border images here
. I love that look.

Digital fullfilment/Photography Question:
My sister's wedding had a large number of photographs taken by their friend who's a professional photographer, on his high end nikon Digital. He gave them the photos as a wedding gift, and they want people to be able to order prints on demand online.
however, they wanted to see if it were possible to tack on a small fee per photo and have the profit go to their friend.
1. What are some good print on demand sites (ofoto, etc?)
2. Do any of them allow this kind of thing?
Thanks in advance.

Digital cameras do tons of photo manipulation in-camera, before you ever upload it. Knowing this, I'd like to configure my camera to do as much in-camera as possible, so that I don't have to spend as much time photoshopping (contrast, sharpening, etc.) afterward. Any recommendations on settings I could use, or resources that would help me determine what settings make for the "best" photos? (I have a Nikon CP4500, if it helps.)
