I'm looking for a specific photo of a cat that I found on Flickr a few years ago. It was an orange cat with a lion cut, sitting up. He may or may not have been sticking out his tongue. It was a scanned Polaroid, with a blue background. Does anyone remember seeing this? [more inside]

I have a bunch of photos I haven't uploaded to Flickr. Why? Because it's a pain with the tools I have now. I want to be able to color-correct, title, caption, tag, and upload photos from my Mac as fast as possible. [more inside]

I am getting married soon, and for my reception I'd like to set up an easy system for my friends and family to send me all of the photos that they took during the day. My friends in the past used a shared flickr account, giving the password away so everyone could log into the account and upload the photos. I'm wondering if any mefites have a better solution out there. [more inside]

My dad is collecting images of paintings of "the miracle of the black leg" as supposedly was performed by the Saints Cosmas and Damianus
. He's looking for a good color photo of one that's in the Cathedral of Mexico City. Right now he only has a black and white image
. Does anyone have a really good quality color image of this painting or has the ability to make such a photo? [more inside]

I need to take better pictures in my home machine shop. I have a decent camera (Nikon L100) but my workshop lighting is poor (mostly florescent lights) and my camera's flash is too directional and too harsh. I think I need to invest in a small umbrella light but I'm not sure and I could use some advice, including what to buy.
I take a lot of close-ups, I don't have a lot of room to work in
and I'd like to work with a continuous light rather than flash. The photos are for my blog.

Please help me come up with a caption for this photo

I have a photo blog on blogger.com that I haven't posted to in some time and, when I just tried, got the following message:
"Blogger no longer supports FTP publishing.
If you are interested in continuing to maintain your blog on Blogger, use the FTP Migration Tool."
I cannot find the FTP Migration tool. Any advice?

Does anyone know the source of this image of two elderly women drinking with a young man
in the foreground? One of the women is vomiting in the background. The filename is either "saturdaynight" or "grannyparty."
I had assumed it was a relic from someone's photo collection but a friend recently informed me it was part of a larger project and set up.

I plan to do a daily photo blog on a site such as Tumblr or Flickr. I'd like automatic updates posted to my Facebook profile on a weekly basis, instead of every time I upload a new photo. Is there a way to automate this? I'm guessing it will involve RSS. Totally willing to use a 3rd party app/widget/site.

, I've learned I really love Kodachrome. I also love photos of 40s-60s American cities - the clothes, the ads, the old cars, the whole thing. Where can I find good Kodachrome prints of American cities - preferably ones I can have printed myself and/or reasonably buy?

Some months back I was contacted by a publisher, and they requested permission to put my kitteh's photograph in their book - The Lolcat Bible. Of course I said yes. I received a copy, with my cat on page 116, and I was thrilled...til the book went missing. I recently got a hold of another copy of this book, and my cat? Missing. What the heck? I cannot find any evidence of different versions online. Can you help me find another copy of the one they sent? [more inside]

Picasa does everything thing I want in a light photo editor (cropping, highlight and shadow correction, roation (90 degree and free)) and browser except
it does not support multiple computers using the same meta data
. My fricken database has been corrupted again (apparently it doesn't handle 200K+ photos very well either) so I'm looking for an alternative that does support syncing between multiple computers and network storage. [more inside]

what sort of device can I buy to show my google tasks next to a corkboard, so I see them on my way out the door?
do any photo frames do wireless sync? my first thought was a cheap old itouch, but the screen is tiny, and it does more than I need.
low power use would also be a plus (i.e. not a laptop or cheap desktop with wall mounted monitor, which I also thought of - I do have an extra 17" sitting around)
I could consider switching to another tasks app if required for the best solution, though I do enjoy gtasks in gmail and calendar.
