We have our windows 7 computer organized by user, and the folder system is a mess. I want to be able to browse photos, and videos, by one simple criteria, date taken. For example, want to see every picture and video on my PC That was taken on July 19, 2013. I don't want it to be tricked by the save date, the edit date, what folder it's in, or which camera was used. Only the date I snapped the shot. Fantastic would be some kind of timeline that you can very quickly scroll thru and it shows you some kind of date display where you're at.
I am looking for software which would allow me search my Windows 7 laptop for every photo and video I have. Browsing the search results I would like to be able to see both pictures and videos in thumbnail form. I would then like to be able to copy all unique files to a hard-drive. Once copied I would like to organise them into folders chronologically. [more inside]
I work for an advertising company that sells very high profile ad locations. One of the ways we demonstrate value to our advertisers is collecting and showing them examples of their ads appearing incidentally in TV, film, newspapers, etc. I would like to create an online portal for displaying a rolling chronological archive of these video clips and still images. I would like to add video to a scrapbook/photoalbum. What device could best do this, cheaply? I have a Sansa Fuze mp3 player, which is small and can play video, but when turning it on, a reader would have to know how/where to navigate menus to find the videos. Is there anything small, battery powered, and cheap, that when activated, either automatically starts playing the video, or simply presents the reader with a list of videos to choose from? Help me with my "photo montage" video! I'm putting together a treatment for a documentary film using Final Cut Pro, and want to jazz up a sequence wherein the main character runs a bar in the early '60s. As you can see from the rough draft I've done so far: (http://www.wavejumper.org/DirtyBird.mov) - besides being roughly and amateurishly executed, my 3D effect is pretty lame. [more inside]
