Could someone name the artist who created http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/4508/strangeza8.jpg, and the other images in the series? I know it was part of an art photography piece, but I can't recall the artist's name, or the link.

A number of years ago I saw a photograph in an art magazine of a work by an artist I'm having trouble remembering. The photograph was of an ethereal and calm beach scene, with an endless blue/green sea and a washed out horizon, and tiny plastic figures placed throughout the water and beach at various positions, so that from our perspective these figures looked human and real. Any idea how I can find this image or artist?

I have an art quality photographic print with a crease through the image (*$#% USPS). Short of seeking professional help, is there any way tried and true way to get it out? I'm very wary of destroying the image, so I'm not going at it with an iron. And strategic matting won't fix the problem. Surely there's something I haven't thought of?

What is the website that one can upload a photograph and convert that image into what looks like a famous painting (Modigliani , van Gogh etc). I recall it used some type of face recognition software algorithms.

Next year I will graduate from college with a double concentration in English and French. As much as I love literature and reading, graduate school in those fields doesn't seem like the right thing for me. However, my love of photography has blown up in the past few years and I'm pretty serious about making a career of it. Where are the good photography schools? Is there any way to get an MFA with my experience? Otherwise, is a second BA worth the money and hassle? [more inside]
