Specifically, how can I be sure that my medication purchases at the grocery store are properly tallied as 'qualified expenses?' More generally, how does the IRS keep track of your purchases using funds from an HSA? What's to stop someone from using their HSA to pay for non-medical expenses? [more inside]

Last night when I picked up my and my adult son's prescriptions for ADHD meds, I groused that the insurance company didn't consider them maintenance meds. Consequently I have to pay full price until I meet my deductible. The pharmacy employee (not a pharmacist) told me it was because there is no ADHD in Europe. [more inside]

After not working for over 10 years, I filled out a job application at Publix, thinking I would be hired as a bagger, but they called asking me if I would be interested in the pharmacy store clerk position. I've never worked in a pharmacy before. What's it like? [more inside]
If I get a prescription from a doctor and take it to a pharmacy, they seem to be able to fulfill it there and then. How? Do they keep a stock of all drugs on hand? Seems unlikely but I have yet to visit one and they didn't have the stock. How does it work?
The pharmacy gave my mother double the prescribed dosage of Baclofen, which possibly caused or contributed to a condition resulting in a trip to the emergency room. My dad, unfortunately and perhaps not in a clear frame of mind, went to the pharmacy to give them a dressing-down, and returned the bottle. IF (and it's a big if) litigation is in our future, what other evidence or documentation should we be collecting now? [more inside]
I got a prescription from my doctor for the generic of xanax. Kroger and walgreens rip me off, and I heard a lot of the online pharmacies are cheaper. How do I go about finding a reputable one to give me the generic, at a good price? (I'm in Ohio USA, and I'm willing to wait for it to be shipped) Thank you.

tl;dr: Advair is no longer covered by our insurance so we'll be paying out of pocket. If you're in the same boat, where have you found it for the best price in the US? Please don't recommend online pharmacies based simply on Google, I'm looking for personal experience. I read this question, but it is 5 years old and a lot has changed in the US medical landscape in that time. [more inside]

While at CVS, I came upon Humphrey's Bedwetting Pellets, which contain mercury (II) chloride. The pharmacist didn't have any thoughts beyond the customer service email form, which I have sent. This is 2013 in a national chain, so I'd think the product could get pulled from the shelf if only the right person read my email. (Hell, it's hard to buy a mercury thermometer now.) But what person is this? What job title? Thank you.
Mail-order pills from a reputable overseas vendor (have seen them recommended in Ask) turned out to not contain any active ingredient according to a blood test. I switched meds when I found out, but am at a loss as to what to do beyond that. [more inside]

I'm looking for a strange medicinal herb which alleviates breathing problems from asthma, and sold at pharmacies circa 1970. Can you tell me what it could be? It came in a tin, like chewing tobacco. You opened it up and lighted the dried herb and it almost immediately made it possible to breath again. It had a sweet smell - not menthol-like, though. Sort of a dried-herb incense. Not terribly dissimilar to marijuana in appearance perhaps. It did not require a prescription, but you did ask the pharmacist for it. (I'm asking for a friend.) Anyone have a clue what this is?
