I have an upcoming job interview for a fairly sales-oriented position in business. Putting aside that I'm not sure I want the position yet and that in my eyes it counts against the company that they put stock in this sort of thing, the company is about to send me a personality test which they use as a strong hiring indicator. I would prefer to ace the test, whatever that means, and have my actual interview and position discussion determine hiring. How should I go about answering a test that I don't believe will be reflective of my personality?

I love words, people, learning about the human condition. I am an emotional, artistic, warm and fuzzy person on the inside. But my shyness makes me come across as quiet and maybe even a little cold. My people skills probably aren't the best. Can I excel in a people oriented career like teacher or guidance counselor, where my true interests lie? Or does my personality doom me to work in something dry and (to me) boring at a computer?

I have a semi-stable dead-end job that I'm not very satisfied with and no specific career goals, and it feels like a huge void. I don't want to (and realistically can't) do what I'm doing indefinitely. Given my likes and dislikes, help me identify a field I might enjoy and the next steps to take.

Virtually all of my past relationships have had huge amounts of drama, a lot of which I have unintentionally encouraged. I have a tendency to pair up with emotionally withholding men, feel wounded and neglected, and then lash out verbally and emotionally in response. This has been my pattern for almost 20 years, yet now in my current relationship, I haven’t experienced this at all. I feel calm, collected, and content. Yet I haven’t made any conscious decisions to act differently - I just find myself behaving this way without trying. I am really happy about feeling so stable for a change, but it also seems too good to be true. Is it possible for a change like this to be legitimate and lasting?
