A year or two back there was an online video (Boingboing tv?) showing an interview with a young artist (British?) who had mounted a camera behind and above his back, which fed the live video to goggles he wore. He'd also dressed in a getup that would make him look like a game character, spiky hair and such. "Live 3rd person perspective" in other words. Half an hour of googling and I can't find the darn video or any info relating to the artist. I think part of the video was shot in Japan, where he staggered around and posed in front of people, รก la WoW taunting.

In the first half of the 20th century groups of scientists in United States created the first electronic computers, fitting big halls, they needed permanent assistance because of overheating and continuous repair. The price of the construction and the maintenance was probably huge. Having such a thing was expensive, it seemed to be probably a luxury what only very very few countries could afford at that time. BUT, there was a scientist who prognosed that at the end of the 20th century every country in the world will be able to afford such a machine. He was obviously true. Now every country has at least one computer. My question(s): Who was this person? Where and when did he told what he told? And the exact citation would be appreciated. I am very sure it was he, the club of computers was filled by gentlemen at this time I think. I don't know whether it was Neumann or someone else. Please help, I am very curious about this. I did not find the answer by myself, for sure you all now more. Thanks! [more inside]

What are some reasonably well-known, preferably famous, examples of novels with evil first-person narrators? All that's coming to mind is Humbert Humbert, but he's too aware of his own nastiness for my purposes. I need novels where the undiluted dastardliness of the first-person narrator affects the entire moral framework of the story, so that you might be forgiven for suspecting that the author actually sides with this monster. Cheers!

I want to locate someone: but I only have flimsy search material.

The last address I have for him is from around 1970 in Naples,Italy. I know his full name & d.o.b. I know a few other random details about him (one of his sister's names, his fathers business, his job in 1970 etc.) He has a fairly unusual surname, but common first and middle names.

I've found an online Italian phone directory (pronto.it), he's not listed. He may be dead, he may have emigrated or he may just not be listed.

The geneaology websites appear to be (a scam and/or) dealing with details that are much older than I'm looking for. I've searched on familysearch.org for free but no luck there either.

Can any Italian speaking mefi users tell me if there are any newspapers with birth, death & marriage announcements for Napoli? I've tried using babelfish + "google translate" to read the paper's web sites that I can find, but I can't seem to see anything like that in them.
