I am looking for great performances of Lady Macbeth. Please point me towards any recordings (video, audio) of Lady M's finest moments. I don't need whole productions of
Macbeth, just great performances of Macbeth's wife. Online, preferably.

I am on the planning committee of an annual event held by my grad program in which the students and faculty do various activities and performances, play games, and generally make fun of each other. I need some ideas, preferably involving laughter and/or making the faculty do slightly embarrassing stuff.

Calling all guitar players: Looking for popular songs that can easily be played and sung by a single person with an acoustic guitar without losing too much. Basically, the kind of songs you can put in a set list where people's reactions are to immediately say, "Hey, I really like that song," followed immediately by "and hey, that sounds pretty close to the original too!"
Also, very important: Any song should be playable by a *
mediocre* guitar player.

I'd like to show black-and-white footage of jazz performances during a party. Is there a DVD of classic jazz performances I can play, or is there some way I can make use of short youtube videos without having to sit at my computer and select different videos all night?

If I were to compile a small collection of live performance Jazz DVD's (say, 5-7ish), what *needs* to be in that collection? Specifically if my interests in jazz run less in the orchestra area and more in the trio-octet range?

As someone who's just starting to seriously explore classical music, I'd like a reference that surveys the repertoire, puts composers, their works, and specific recorded performances of those works into context, and which preferably discusses
specific CD releases of those performances.

I need to find a venue for a cabaret/concert performance in Buffalo. The problems: our target dates (Sept. 10th and 11th) coincide with the opening weekend of the new theatre season (locking out traditional theatres), and we're not looking for a permanent residence just yet. Non-Buffalo specific advice also useful, details follow…

Help me avoid embarrassment. I have no training and couldn't tell you what my range is using, like, technical terms, but when singing I embarrass myself least with Amy Winehouse's song

As part of a team-building/training exercise at work, we're supposed to make a website about ourselves. I can handle the technical end just fine, but I hate, hate, hate having to make a display of my personal self in public. I'm pretty sure I can get away with making stuff up, as long as it's sufficiently outrageous that everyone feels in on the joke. Now I just need some ideas...

I'm really bad about not focusing on my current task, and hastily finishing whatever it is so I can move on to the next and perform it equally as poor. How can I learn to be more focused on -- and enjoy -- what I am currently doing, rather than spending that time looking ahead to the next project at the expense of doing the first well?
