Let's say I'm an in-house graphic designer working on a sale sign template for a company with several locations. I've got Helvetica. The various locations don't. I'd like to make a fancy template in InDesign, and then create a PDF form where employees can alter small portions of the text and then print the completed sale sign at their location, still using the Helvetica. Is this possible?

I created a 20x28 inch poster in inDesign that I then exported to PDF. However, the exported PDF is much bigger than 20x28. Why is that?

I fill out a lot of the same postal form, just with small amounts of different information in it. This form needs to be printed out a couple dozen times a day. Is it possible to dreates a PDF in Acrobat or Indesign that has a user-fillable text box that will show up when printed? I'm currently just editing and printing a Word doc, which is less than ideal.

I've got a project coming up that will involve placing pages from a large PDF into an black ink-only InDesign CS2 doc. The PDF will be created by MS Word. In the past when I've done this, the PDF has separated out onto multiple plates, so I've had to break the document into single page PDFs, which I've then rasterized in Photoshop and saved as greyscale TIFFs.
I can't believe there isn't a simpler way to do this. Ideally, I'd like a way convert the PDF to K-only, then break it into individual pages. I'm on a Mac running Tiger.

Can
Adobe InDesign import/export PDFs somehow? I just got 2.0, but when I try to open a PDF, I get the message "Adobe InDesign may not support the file format, or a plug-in that supports the file format may be missing."
