What is the easiest way to dump and or sync a directory (or two) of documents to my iPod Touch (v4?) 32Gb iOS 5.0.1 for access when offline.
I want to use my iPod Touch as my sole computing device when travelling abroad and was hoping there was a way to dump a bunch of data onto it. pdfs, txt files, .docs, pngs, jpgs, travel details, notes, reading material etc. Generally I wont' have Wi-Fi access so I want offline apps / offline storage tips. I'm looking for the name of a children's computer organizer from '94 or '95. It was plastic, came in purple, and looked a bit like a primitive PDA (albeit without the phone or web access). It had a small keyboard and an LED screen. It served as a calculator and you could also use it to take notes. It had other features, but I don't remember them. I'm pretty sure the screen either flipped out or popped out the top, but I might be wrong. Does anyone else remember this?

What's the state of the art in quad-band capable Android smartphones? Essentially I'm looking for alternatives with capabilities similar to the Motorola Atrix 4G
. It needs to be carrier unlocked and support 850/900/1800/1900MHz GSM 2G functions and 2100MHz WCDMA. [more inside]

I found my old Palm T|X today. It doesn't (AFAIK) do anything my mobile phone doesn't do these days, and it's considerably bulkier, but it seems like a waste to just recycle it. Is there anything interesting I can do with an aging PDA? [more inside]

I'm on the lookout for suggestions for PDAs or similar devices for my father.
His short-term memory is going. While it used to be pin-sharp, it's becoming a real problem, to mitigate it he's been using a PDA - he's always carried one and was a real fan of the Palm series.
Now it needs replacing ... [more inside]

I have an HP iPAQ 2750. Around the same time it was manufactured, lots of aftermarket hardware and software came out with promises to enhance the device. One of those applications was a GPRS/GSM plug in modem (via the CF Card slot) and software from a company called Enfora. The modem was bundled with software from a company called BVRP. There was other software without a modem which also installed phone tools on the PDA from another company called WebToGo. [more inside]

Is there a PDA that can play an MP3 file and adjust its tempo during playback? Or, is there software for a PDA platform (Windows Mobile or Palm) that can do this? I'm looking for a PDA that can playback lecture recordings that are MP3 format and that can speed them up or slow them down on-the-fly. A bookmarking feature for the MP3's would be nice also.

What applications (freeware preferred) to people usually load up on their Windows Mobile (5.0) devices?
After many years getting by with a regular cell phone, my company recently switched me to an iPaq (6955). While I dislike the form factor a bit, I like the option of extending functionality with new programs. I just added Google Maps for Mobile, One Note mobile and will soon add MyLifeOrganized mobile (the non-freeware task mgmt tool I use).
Any other recommendations?

I've just changed mobile 'phone provider to T-Mobile's Web'n'walk Max, which allows me 'unlimited' web access (up to 3Gb/month which is their 'fair use' limit). So, this means I can now listen to Radio 4 online (at 20.7Kbps live, I'm informed by my PDA) - but how much radio can I listen to before I exceed my limit (bearing in mind I'll be wanting to do a bit of surfing etc. too)?
