Can anyone help me with escalating past first-level support on Paypal? It's an old old story with Paypal, apparently, but I'm almost at the end of my rope. [more inside]

I need a basic website with paypal checkout. I'd like to use something like a template from template monster (haven't seen any from them that have paypal) with paypal integrated as the checkout. My main concerns are that it be easy to use, safe, and not a cheesy design. Does anyone know of a good option? thanks

You have an online business in Canada and you have this choice: accept U.S. payments via Paypal in the U.S. dollar account you have (with a Canadian bank) and have the bank make the currency conversion to Canadian dollars, or letting Paypal handle the conversion directly. Which do you choose (and why)?

Why is the United States ACH (automated clearing house) system so slow and inefficient? Funds can never be assured until several days pass, and that creates a ripe atmosphere for check bouncing. When I do a Paypal transfer to my bank or move money from bank to bank it always takes 2-3 days. Why is the banking system stuck in the 1950s? Is there any talk of overhauling the ACH system?

US$5000 in PayPal cash. Can't withdraw it easily (long story). Need to spend it online. Not based in the US or Canada. Any suggestions of how to spend it (interesting or cheap or boutique shops or causes or opportunities that take PayPal and ship/download internationally?) Open to anything and everything. In coordinating events for a small alumni group I want to collect money in advance of each event, so that somebody's not left holding the bag when a few people don't show up. I'm basically looking for Evite, but requiring payment in order to RSVP in the affirmative. (It turns out Evite doesn't do this.) Is there any such service?

1) Are there any internet payment methods besides PayPal that are gaining market share? 2) Are you aware of any web services that handle the fulfilment side of selling intellectual property (e.g. download & payment collection)? If it makes any difference, I'm in Canada and server is Unix and in USA. Thanks!

I'm looking for ways to donate money online that don't require a credit card. Right now I give to a couple of charities via PayPal whenever I have some bucks to spare, but I like the services that, for example, Network for Good offers (especially the gift basket) and I was wondering if there are any organizations that do the same, but allow PayPal. I need some privacy! I recently upgraded my Paypal premier account to a business account in hopes that my personal name would not be easily accessible to buyers and/or others I'm in contact with in online auctions. UK Paypal question: "Once you have opened a PayPal account, you can start making PayPal payments right away.
However, for security reasons, there are limits to the amount you can send and withdraw. To lift these limits, you can complete some additional steps and gain the status of Verified."
I can't seem to see what those limits are - does anyone know? [more inside]

Increasingly many e-commerce sites and ebay vendors seem to be using paypal as the outfit that also handles their ordinary credit-card (i.e. non-paypal-account) purchases. This doesn't work, and blows the transaction. How can I evade this yet-another-paypal-gotcha? [more inside]

I'm buying some phone accessories from someone on a web forum, and he insists on my being PayPal verified. As someone who otherwise does no business with PayPal, should I be leery of becoming verified? It worries me a little as it involves me giving PayPal my banking information.

PayPal Filter: I recently started using PayPal--the first transaction was my 'donation' to MeFi. Then I sold a book on eBay and had $77.00 paid to me through PayPal. I, foolishly I guess, left the money there thinking I'd use it to buy stuff down the road. But yesterday within three minutes someone 'paid' me $660 and then paid out $723 which effectively deleted my balance save 31-cents. PayPal seems not too surprised and waffled shamelessly when I asked how this happened and if I could get my money back. It seems to me eBay could afford to make good on transactions gone wrong by their unsecured system. [I've mailed in an affidavit as they required.] I need $77 a lot more (for Christmas) than eBay does and yet IF I get my money back it's not likely to be in time to buy presents this year. Any ideas, suggestions, pointers to finding a remedy?

Is there any extremely easy way to password protect a blog. The real goal is to have a blog-as-ecommerce. I need to figure out how to set up subscriptions to the blog, charge (via paypal) and give each user a unique password and login. Any software I can get/buy to do this? If I have to hire someone who can build this for me, where do I look and what should it cost? I won't have many subscribers, so I can handle some issues mannualy if need be, but the more automated the better.

eBay hell. I haven't sold many items through eBay, so I was startled to wade through all the associated fine print to discover - after I had concluded a sale, received a payment via Paypal, and was ready to ship my item - that as a seller I get absolutely ZERO protection from buyer scams if I ship my item from the US to Canada. [ further, buyer supplied phone # tracks to address different from shipping address provided which is, as well, "unconfirmed" ] So, I'm considering 1) calling off the sale, refunding the $ and taking an eBay rep. hit or 2) eBay's escrow service. Any opinions?

Now that Paypal doesn't require people making payments to actually be a member, and allows merchants to configure their payment pages, I'm considering using it for a Web project. Yet, at the same time, I'm aware that a lot of people consider it to be Bad and Wrong.
Who would you lot recommend for reputable online payments? I'm in the UK and have a teeny tiny budget, but I'm doing this for a large organisation.
