I'm looking to arrange a particular password setup with several unpaid staffers in my office.
Here's the arrangement: 5-10 folks each day access one or more of ten online accounts that we communally use. I want to ut able to easily distribute the passwords and have the users be able to employ them without ever being able to see what it is.

I typically use Safari, and have my preferences set to store all of my passwords and user names in my Keychain.app. However when it starts acting up and giving me the spinning beach ball, I use Camino (v. 1.0.3.) When I try to log in to a website, it asks me for my user name and password - do I really have to fill in ALL those passwords and user names all over again? In other words, is there any way I can get Camino to access the passwords I saved using Safari? [more inside]

I want my browser to remember my password for a couple of sites, but it must assume that I don't want most of my passwords remembered. I hate browser popups that ask "Remember this password?" What's a good solution? I use Firefox on Windows.

Does it bother you to click on Yahoo! links and unexpectedly see your Yahoo! name on the screen because you prefer to store your Yahoo (enough with the exclamation point already) password in a cookie? [more inside]

Let's say I wanted to create a simple web app to store my various usernames and passwords. The app and database would be hosted externally (by Dreamhost). I would use a secure connection for any HTTP stuff going back and forth, and I would encrypt all of the passwords before going into the db, and I can only extract and decrypt a password after entering a pass phrase that exists only in my brain. What would it take for someone else to get at my passwords? [more inside]

How do I transfer my saved passwords from Mozilla 1.7.1 to Firefox 1.0.1? The "Import" option under the File menu didn't work.

I know I've seen the site before, but after repeated searching through Metafilter and Google, I still couln't find it. Where is the site that has community passwords so you don't need to register for many websites ranging from news sites to random sites.
Thanks and sorry if this is the wrong spot for this.

I have kind of a n00b question here...I want to format my hd and reinstall everything. How do I save my autofill userids and passwords? I find it a pain when I reinstall IE (or now Firefox) and have to start all those logins from scratch.

Double question: My XP Pro OS wont let me switch users anymore (5 account system), it will only let me log off. Second my brother got kicked from the computer and I forgot to get a password for administrator. Hes got his own password now. How do I reset the admin pass without using a linux boot disk?
