PassportPhotoFilter: I need 15 passport photos, am not finding inexpensive places (in the San Francisco area) or discounts on more than two so I'm looking at the price for two times eight. Am I missing something to think I can get two, go to FedEx Office and copy them on one of their machines for 49 cents per photo? Definitely wouldn't want to ship these things overseas, learn that they are unacceptable. Thanks for thoughts and any tips on bargain places in the SF area.

Emergency! I'm a Dual UK/USA citizen with valid USA and UK passports. My flight leaves London (where I am now) tomorrow at 2 p.m. I have my UK passport on me, in London, but my USA passport is currently in Manchester. It's 9:44 p.m. in London. This page says it's against federal law for a US citizen (even a dual citizen) to enter the USA on anything other than a USA passport. So, what are my options? I've JUST applied for an ESTA visa, it's supposed to be instant...

I have an idea in mind that would be centered around a fake passport-like document taken to specific, fun places around the world. Not something fake enough to break laws, but fake enough to be something fun to carry around, not look cheap, and be durable to carry around and get stamped when requested. Where would I go to get something like this made? [more inside]

Is this something I should call the State Department about or is it just a tempest in a teapot? I just got my renewed passport. In the back, where it plainly says to write in pencil, I wrote the wrong name in pen. I'm thinking I can't white it out (or whatever the 21st century equivalent is) because that would raise all sorts of red flags at customs. It would, right?? And what about just crossing out the wrong name and inserting the right one, in pencil, above? Anyone have any experience in this? Thanks.
[When-to-change-name-filter] We were married by a judge in June 2010. Our big wedding is this May 2011. We're filing taxes jointly in a month or so. We're going on an out-of-country honeymoon in June 2011. Taking all of that into mind, when is it going to be easiest for me to legally take his name? [more inside]

How terrible is it to board a plane without a photo ID? I plan to fly to another state in late December and have no picture ID. Do to a family medical emergency, my wife and I are probably going to be renting a car and driving from Philadelphia to Toronto tomorrow night. We are both Canadians living in the US on temporary NAFTA visas. Fun complication: Our daughter is four months old and is an American citizen with an American birth certificate. We haven't yet gotten her a passport or applied for her Canadian citizenship. Should we expect to have any difficulty crossing the border with her, in either direction? Is there anything we can get in the next 24 hours to make things go more smoothly?

The consulate wants my passport to issue a visa but I am afraid I will not get it back in time: what to do?
I am in a bit of a bureaucratic bind and I need some advice. Short story: I leave for a trip in 10 days and at this point have no visa for the country that I will be living in for a year. The consulate just emailed me a couple of hours ago and informed me that I need to send my passport to them (who are located in a city 12 hours away) in order that they can issue me the visa. Problem: I have been trying to get this visa for months now, and they have been terribly slow every step of the way. I am worried that I will not get my passport back in time before my flight. I'm a British native, and my partner is Asian - we've been married for some years (Asian more in the sense of 'outside the EU', which would have made this easier).
