I have just finished a college course in business English. I did well, but I want to be able to look at parts of speech in a sentence and understand enough to know for sure why I am using who or whom or when to choose subjective or objective pronouns. (Example: Do you think it was THEY who left the door unlocked overnight?) My textbook spent more time telling you to substitute he or him for who or whom, but I wanted to be able to understand what part of speech was responsible for the choice. What is the best college level or above textbook to teach me this? Thank you in advance.

The rear backup light panel around my license plate fell off on my 10 year old Cadillac. I have been checking junk yards and looking online and am unable to locate one affordably. Apparently, it's a common problem on this older model of car as the adhesive wears, and they tend to fall off. It was my grandmothers car before she passed away, and I love taking care of her baby. It's $600 at the dealership for the entire assembly and has to be painted. My vehicle is silver/gray but I might take any color. Any suggestions would be helpful. I believe it looks something like this (though the following one is in black) http://tinyurl.com/c28n4cz

I may be purchasing a used Berkel bread slicer — the model is MB (it may be MBSS, since the whole model is stainless steel). It currently has a 3/8" slice size. I need it changed to a 1/2" slice size. Do you have a recommendation for a service center in or around NYC that could do the job well without breaking the bank?

Hi, it's your friendly neighborhood biotech lab-equipment-monkey again. In a continuation of the
centrifuge saga, now that we've confirmed the unit will probably work with a proper rotor installed, I am on a quest to track down and acquire said rotor. Nobody seems to be selling it new anymore, and the ones I've found used are all missing crucial parts! Do I need better search-fu, or is it time to call the glue factory for this big old spinny beast? Halp!

Anyone know where I can get a hopper/burner assembly for a Traeger grill (I have the Texas Grill, but any of their line may work)? So far internet searches have been unsuccessful. I have not yet contacted the manufacturer to see if they will sell spares, but all I can find from 3rd parties are spare internals (motors, controllers, etc)...

Are there resources on the internet where I can find information about what's under the hood of my car? I just feel that being a man and all I should have a good idea of what I'm looking at when I pop the hood of my car. I just want to learn the basics and maybe get a better idea of how stuff works under there. I have a Honda and a Toyota, and I know things are built differently under there, but if there's anything specific to those two then that would be preferable.

Hey folks. Long time reader, first time 'asker.'
Help me find a cheap, used computer parts store in San Francisco - I'm particularly looking for Dell laptop parts.
Just inherited a Dell D810 Latitude laptop - needs some love - almost free love, that's my budget... Any chance in getting a line on a used dell charger (type pa-10) or a used battery for a Latitiude d810 (type Y4367)? Anyone know of a recycle-ry that I can hit up for cheap? I've scouted ebay, put a call out on freecycle (Marin, SF), and scoured craigslist. Suggests?

It is so tantalizing to be able to see the produce of the the large manufacturers of bicycles in India via their web pages, yet not have any access in quantities less than a fully loaded container. Does anyone know of a local bike shop in India, at least connected to email, who will ship small amounts of bike parts by mail out of the country? It seems to me a local shop would have access through the normal distribution channels to parts from the big companies in small quantities. This stuff is vital to repairing old British bikes, there being virtually no domestic manufacture there anymore. I know that there exists lots out there from bikes that have been parted out, but finding who has it when you need it is difficult.
