The management company at our apartment building just discovered that they had not been charging us for parking 10 months into our lease. We had been paying the rent amount and the parking amount for the first two months, but kept getting overpayment notices telling us to reduce our monthly payment, so I thought our number was in error. Now they want all 10 months paid back though they admit the error was on their end. Are we liable for the back fees even though we were told by them to lower our monthly payment? This is in Washington, DC.

Our new car is slightly larger than our old car. We have the same narrow one-car garage. It's a bit of a panic every time we make the sharp turn from the alley into the garage and suck in to avoid the edges. Sometimes it doesn't quite work. What can we use as corner padding on the edges to protect our parking miscues? [more inside]

Does anyone know the nearest place I can park my car on street near Guildford station? I'd be leaving it there after 7pm, and picking it up in the morning by 8am, so I wouldn't have to worry about the parking restrictions in place (residential parking permits etc.) Anyone else do this reverse commute? Any tips? Many thanks!

Do you know any car which has the capability of horizontal move to achieve side parking when both of car length and parking area length are almost equal (i mean there is no space to parking maneuver)? Do you believe a car with this skill can improve your parking opportunities? And most importantly, is such a car suitable for mass production and feasible?I will be glad if you can share your detailed ideas with some source -if possible- for my mini research project. I am actually interested in the technical aspect of the matter.

Frustration filter.... I got a parking ticket from a city I've never been to... I got a notice from a collection agency for a parking ticket issued by Lynwood California. Lynwood California is at least 500 miles from my home and I've never been anywhere near there. I'm sending in my objection to the ticket, obviously, but I've got a few questions: 1. Could it be a simple problem of the cop writing the license plate number down wrong? 2. If not, how can I find out if this is some kind of fraudulent scheme? 3. Any suggestions for fighting the ticket? Thanks....
