My neighbor has asked permission to park her car behind me (which means I have to go ask her to move her car anytime I need to get my car out). How can I place reasonable limits on the privilege?

So I'm going to the Death Cab for Cutie concert in Providence tonight, coming from Boston. It turns out that renting a car and driving is cheaper than seeing the act in Boston due to ridiculous fees. However, the concert's been moved to the Brown University campus.
For those who know the campus well--how easy is it to find parking after 5 near Meeham Auditorium? Will it be cheaper/easier to get street parking? Any secretly perfect parking spots? (and so on!) Google Satellite view shows a parking lot right in front of the place, but if it's not public I'd like to avoid circling for parking in a relatively unfamiliar place.
Thanks!

How do I get space to park a you-pack moving container (think PODS) in Brooklyn? I'm moving to New York from DC for a new job in a few weeks. I'm moving the bulk of my stuff using ABF U-Pack - I'm subletting for two months and need my stuff stored until I find more permanent digs. In DC, I know I need to get a permit for the moving container for space in front of my place, but how do I do this in New York? Digging around on NYC.gov hasn't given me any leads.

How can optimize my parking lot (that is, yard)? I share my house with a small business, which brings in up to 12 cars, plus our two. I'm wondering if there isn't some software, or an established method for figuring out the most efficient use of our limited space--taking into consideration turn-arounds and snow banks and all that? Any thoughts for a cramped little man?

Is a map of parking zones in Washington DC available anywhere? I am moving to a central area where street parking is a nightmare most of the time. I think I'll have a zone 1 sticker - I'm trying to gauge where the boundaries are of zone 1 - so I'd know where to try and keep my car for the time being (I plan to get rid of it, but not quite yet). Google and DC DMV sites turn up nothing..
