Where should we stay in Paris if we are landing at CDG and departing two days later from BVA (RyanAir). In those two days, we would like to see as much of Paris as possible but not end up spending an exorbitant amount traveling from the city back to our hotel, or from the hotel to the airports.

What's your favourite place in Paris to idle time away ordering cafe cremes and working through a giant book? Chill and economical is the combination for which I seek. I'm up in Montmartre, but don't mind hitting the metro for somewhere rad.

Hello, Hive,
I'm planning on moving to Paris a few months for work and pleasure. As a native Swede and a member of the EU group of states, I guess I'll have an easier time getting a somewhat reasonably priced apartment reasonably close to Cité, Montmartre or what have you (Notre Dame I guess would be the center point everything revolves around). Has the Hive got any good suggestions regarding apartment-finding?
Other tips on good areas to live, areas to avoid, would be great as a general guide.

I'll be in Paris for a few days next month, and I'd like to check out some thrift stores. I'm not looking for anything fancy or designer, just maybe some cute skirts or sweaters. Most of the articles I've seen online talk about places where you can get couture for a fraction of the price, but that's not really my thing. Also, this might be silly, but I'm a size 8 US...would resale shops have things in my size? Any advice that can point me in the right direction is greatly appreciated!

My girlfriend and I are travelling from London to Paris with a very early 5.25 train. We will arrive in Paris around 8, and I'm sure we would appreciate going straight to a very nice cafe or similar from a nice, long breakfast. Can you recommend such a place? We like sweet and savoury things, but prefer baguette, croissants and jams type of place. We're looking for something a bit more upmarket than normal cafes, but nothing which would cost more than 15 euros per head...
Thanks!
