My Dad is on a European tour, and yesterday in Paris, someone broke into the tour bus and stole quite a bit of loot from all of the tourgoers.
This seems a bit shady, but regardless, is there any advice for this situation? It doesn't sound like the company is owning up to anything.

Paris people: Imagine you were staying in the 13e from Saturday until mid next week, and had the misfortune to arrive here by car. Where would you park it, preferably paying between free and one arm, rather than an arm and a leg? Don't bother telling me I don't need a car here, because actually, I do.

Suggestion for a meeting point at Charles de Gaulle airport, Paris, Terminal 1? I'm meeting my parents at this airport in a few days. We arrive on different flights and different airlines around 1/2 hour from each other, both flying in from the US.

I'm going to be in Paris next week. I'll be alone for three days, and with a friend and her 2 year old daughter for four days. I'd like suggestions for the non-obvious things to do, for restaurants and cafes to go to (by myself and with my friend), for nightlife (there will be a babysitter at night), for places to shop, and for restaurants and activities that adults can enjoy that will be acceptable to a two year old.

Is there any way I can request a special rolling of London's
Rolling Bridge while I'm in town? It normally curls up every Friday at noon, but I won't be in town for it. What are the chances that I can catch or request an unscheduled curl?
(And if you've got any better ideas for what I can do in Paris and London immediately before and during the first week of May, I'd love to hear 'em inside, too...)

I'm having a hard time finding information about the agriculture and trash systems & practices in Europe. Basically I'd like to know where my food comes from and how waste is disposed of when living there. When I pick up a piece of produce from Portugal, I want to understand what that means.

A Princetonian character in
The Dud Avocado (set in Paris in the 50s) is described as saying mostly "zop zop". Was this a real thing? Part of ivy/preppy or Paris-based emigrant slang? Part of a larger lexicon of nonsense? No one in the novel (thus far) seems to think it remarkable.

From Toronto to Paris, they lost one of my bags, which wouldn't be terrible except said bas contained 1) My only change of clothes for the next 2 weeks 2) My BFs extra heart medication and 3) I'm leaving for Prague in 4 days and there is still no news. Is there anyone I can call or talk to see that I actually get my stuff before I leave France? Kakfaesque detail follows.

Triple whammy travel/proposal question. For those of you following my previous questions, I am almost home. I now have the diamond and the ring. I also have the flight to Europe. My questions now are: 1) How do I get from Frankfurt to Paris cheaply during the second week of January? 2) Where in Paris should I propose considering the cold January weather? 3) She knows nothing about the trip. How/when do I tell her about it?

I'm heading off to Paris for four days, and I'm starting to get a bit nervous that I'll forget something important. I've never been to Paris, and I haven't been to Europe for fifteen years. I'll be staying by myself in a hotel in Arondissement 7.
I'm wondering if you can help me out with any last-minute tips or things I'm likely to have forgotten.
